BEFORE CLASS STARTS
It’s a good idea to come at least 30 min before class starts
If the computer is on, restart it
Log on, test all equipment and apps
Print handouts – Print to closest Canon printer at NC (must have code). All other campuses you must bring thumb drive or email to the front desk
Call Classroom Tech if needed
Get coffee
BASIC OPERATION OF CLASSROOM EQUIPMENT
Turn on the computer
and log on

HOW DO I TURN ON THE PROJECTOR ? You should hear a noise,
light should change from orange to green
You may have to walk closer to
the projector
Select the right input
I WANT TO BRING MY OWN DEVICE Pc Laptop to projector

TESTING TESTING, IS THIS THING ON?
Test all of the technology equipment you will be using
Open all of the apps you need for class
Make sure the volume is where you need it for any videos you maybe playing
SOUND CHECK

WHAT IF IT’S NOT WORKING
Don’t panic
Try troubleshooting your problem
Contact the Classroom Technology Department
Contact the nearest faculty development staff
TROUBLE SHOOTING 101
No power / computer will not turn on = red switch
TROUBLE SHOOTING 101
Blue projector screen = try switching inputs on the projector remote
Wrong screen is showing on the projector = windows key + P
No sound
All else fails, restart the computer
Troubleshooting will help keep your class keep flowing
