Tonight our Orange Panthers hosted the Thanksgiving Duals. In the first match Orange met up with Riverside Coached by Brandon Palmer. Riverside is a young team looking to gain experience & our Panthers wrestled to a 80-0 win, In the second match the Panthers met up with Northwood, Coached by former Orange Panther Cliff Davis. Northwood is in a rebuilding year & our Panthers won 66-13. By the third match, the Jim King gym was full of Orange Wrestling Alumni & the gym temperature was rising. The Panthers faced a tough Southeast Guilford team. The matches went back & forth starting with the 126 lbs match thru the 195 lb match. The Panthers found the edge to extend the lead to 41-21 with 2 matches left. The Panthers came away with a Thanksgiving win 41-31. It was a GREAT battle & a tribute both teams. The fans definitely got their moneys worth of excitement. Our Panthers will get a well deserved break for Thanksgiving & then start preparing for the JKO on Dec 1/2. Thanks for the GREAT turnout by the fans to watch their Panthers. Congratulations to Josiah Ramirez on his 100th WIN, GREAT job Josiah. Happy Thanksgiving to ALL. See you after Thanksgiving.

Hello Team Orange parents and friends, Reminder - The parent meeting is Thursday, November 9th in room 400 at 6:45pm. Everyone is strongly encouraged to attend this meeting. You will meet the coaches, hear about the upcoming season and learn how you can help the team throughout the season. PLEASE HELP!! We need LOTS of help after the parent meeting to season all of the pork loins. We need as many parents/ friends/ wrestlers as we can get. We should have over 200 pork loins so the more helpers the better. I know that everyone will be tired but many hands make light work. Fundraiser- Our second fundraiser of the year - PORK LOIN SALE!! If you haven’t seen your son’s pork loin tickets yet, please ask about them. We are selling them for $25 each. Please collect the money up front and give the customer the top half of the ticket. Pick up is Saturday, November 11th at 1pm by the small gym.
