Her quest to fold a thousand cranes in pursuit of a wish has caused millions of the children from all over the world to fold cranes for peace. This beautiful play pulls from traditional forms of Japanese drama to celebrate Sadako’s hope and the hope of all the children who have worked to honor her. 276-628-3991, www.bartertheatre.com • APRIL 11, 16 & 20: Kingsport ARTS presents its Architecture workshop. The Renaissance style places emphasis on symmetry, proportion, geometry and the regularity of parts. Students will study the design of facades, columns, arches and ceilings from this time along with the amount of detail that went into each. Using a type of plaster of Paris, students will create their own stonework, pillars, columns or arches. April 11, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., the workshop is for ages 18 months to 5, $5. April 13 the workshop is for ages 13 to 18 years from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., $20.
