Obituary: CAMPOSANO Gennaro passed away peacefully as home on 9th March 2011 aged 91 years. Loving husband to Olive May, Devoted dad to Helen, Peter, Lucia, Guiseppina, Carlo, Mandy and Angelina. Love you pap from all your grandchildren and great grandchildren. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday 24th March at 3pm in St. Peter and St Paul Church, Preston Capes followed by interment at the churchyard. CAPELL, William Sykes 1841-1935 The son of Richard and Sarah CAPELL (ne THREADGOLD), William was born at Little Brington on 26 May 1841 and baptised at Great Brington on 27 Jun. Upon leaving school at 14, he was awarded a 7-year apprenticeship as a shoemaker, at the end of which he moved to Sproxton, Leics to take up employment at the village school. William married Emma Sophia HENSON at Melton Mowbray, Leics in 1864. They took jobs as schoolmaster and schoolmistress at Great Horkesley, Essex followed by similar posts at Tingrith, Beds before moving to Charwelton School in the mid-1890s although Emma worked for a while at Daventry. William and his wife came to Preston Capes upon his retirement in 1906. He died on 12 Mar 1935 at the age of 94 and was buried in the churchyard on 15 Mar. Children:

Over the weekend of the 6th June 1841 (census), Francis and his brother John stayed at the Daventry Union Workhouse while his parents and sisters visited his uncle Samuel at Brinklow, Warks. Under the terms of the Butler Apprenticeship Scheme, he was apprenticed as a shoemaker to John BRAMBLY of Daventry on 25 Jul 1847 for the sum of 20 until he was 21. Francis married Catherine FROST at Daventry on 25 Dec 1865. She died in 1870 and Francis married Mary Ann TARRY at Daventry in 1871 when they moved to Northampton where he worked as a shoe riveter. Francis died in 1885 at the age of 52. Children:

In the 1841 census, Richard, his wife and the 2 girls, were visiting Richards brother Samuel CHAMBERLAIN, at Brinklow, Warks. He worked as a grazier and after his wifes death in 1792 Robert married Sarah WINTER, a widow of Cleeve Prior, Worcs on 12 Jun 1794.
