2016 Alexandra F. Corning (PI) & Dawn M. Gondoli (PI). Changing the Ecology of the Family to Prevent Eating Disorders: Mothers as Agents of Healthy Body Image and Healthy Eating Habits. Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (R21). Revision of grant scored 40 at NINR, submitted as new February 2016, unscored. I have an internal grant to collect data for this project, to be completed December 2016. I will use the data to support a new formulation of this external grant.

2015 Alexandra F. Corning (PI) & Dawn M. Gondoli (PI). Changing the

Ecology of the Family to Prevent Eating Disorders: Mothers as Agents of Healthy Body Image and Healthy Eating Habits. National Institute of Nursing Research (R21). Revision of grant previously scored 31. Priority score = 40. NINR does not provide percentiles. Note that we were 5 points away from funding on the first round. Unfortunately, the panel composition changed entirely from the first submission to revision and our score increased.

EXTERNAL GRANTS SUBMITTED continued 2015 Alexandra F. Corning (PI) & Dawn M. Gondoli (PI). Changing the

Ecology of the Family to Prevent Eating Disorders: Mothers as Agents of Healthy Body Image and Healthy Eating Habits. National Institute of Nursing Research (R21). Under new rules, we were permitted to base this on a previous grant yet have it considered “new.” We therefore based this on a previous R21 revision to NICHD, scored in the 10th percentile yet unfunded due to the 2013 sequestration. Although we submitted this application to NICHD, it was administratively assigned to NINR. Priority score = 31. NINR does not use percentiles; grants with a priority score below 27 have recently been funded.

2014 Alexandra F. Corning (PI) & Dawn M. Gondoli (PI). Decreasing Risk of

Eating Disorders for Adolescent Girls: ePrevention for Mothers. Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (R21). Revision of grant scored 55. Percentile Score = 22

2013 Bradley S. Gibson (PI) & Dawn M. Gondoli (Co-PI). Application of the

dual-component theory to adaptive working memory training (Revision). US Department of Education, Institute of Education Sciences. Score = 2.11

2013 Alexandra F. Corning (PI) & Dawn M. Gondoli (PI). Decreasing Risk of

Eating Disorders for Adolescent Girls: ePrevention for Mothers. Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (R21). Percentile Score = 55. This was a reformulation of a previous grant scored in the 10th percentile. Due to rules at that time, this grant needed to be “new” so substantial reframing was required.

2013 Bradley S. Gibson (PI) & Dawn M. Gondoli (Co-PI). Targeting the

attention and memory components of working memory improves working memory capacity. National Science Foundation

2012 Alexandra F. Corning (PI) & Dawn M. Gondoli (PI). Mothers as Agents of

Healthy Body Image and Eating Habits: A Feasibility Study. Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (R21, Revision). Percentile Score = 10. During the 2013 sequestration, the pay line was the 9th percentile, and this grant was unfunded. Under old rules, a revision needed to be changed substantially to be resubmitted. Thus, we reformulated and submitted it as a new grant in 2013.

IES applications are scored from 1-5, with 1 = outstanding, 2 = excellent, etc. Scores of 1- 2 were typically funded. Due to the 2013 Sequestration, the cut-off was 1.50 and this grant was unfunded.
