LaserVault Backup (LV Backup) is a network-connected disk to disk backup system for IBM i (AS/400, iSeries, System i) computer systems that allows you to backup your System i to disk, NAS, SAN or deduplication server. LaserVault Backup (LVB) is a tapeless disk-to-
disk backup software solution for iBM i (AS/400, iSeries, System i) users.
It gives you the capability to backup your IBM i to disk using a simple TCP/IP connection.
To use LVB, all you need is an IBM i system, a Windows-based backup server, and the LVB software.
Most users can expect to cut their backup time significantly, with many cutting times in half or more, depending on their system configuration.
