Jesus lives within us. We can change the world!
Jésus vit en nous. Nous pouvons changer le monde!
Divine Mercy Sunday: One week after His
Resurrection, Jesus returned to the same
place where the disciples had been on
the night that He rose from the dead.
This time, Thomas was there and Jesus,
in compassion and mercy, invited him to
see for himself that He was truly alive!
Thomas was moved to proclaim, “My Lord and my
God!” These words are important as they are what we
proclaim in the silence of our hearts when the
consecrated Body & Blood of Jesus is elevated during
the Eucharistic prayer.
This moment of deep conversion led Thomas to proclaim
the Gospel and to give his life for the Lord. So it should
be for each of us – proclaiming our faith in Jesus is what
prompts us to live the Gospel of Jesus.
Once we have encountered the Risen Lord, our lives are
forever changed. His love, mercy and compassion
embrace us ‘where we are’ and ‘in what we are living’.
In the midst of the pandemic which has forced us into
isolation, Jesus is here filling us with his love, mercy and
compassion. May our hearts be opened to encounter and
embrace Him!
FAMILY OF PARISHES NEWS UPDATE
Love, Mercy & Compassion: Throughout the
entire world, people are reaching out to
others. First and foremost, we recognize all
those whose indispensable love, mercy and
compassion are serving the needs of others.
These individuals are being thanked
repeatedly by the media. We need to continue to pray for
them! We also acknowledge the service that is rendered
to the most vulnerable in our midst and we thank those
who reach out to and care for them. We pray in
thanksgiving for their love, mercy and compassion! And
finally, we trust in the DIVINE MERCY OF JESUS, to
fill our hearts with peace, joy and hope as we continue to
celebrate the great mystery of our faith proclaimed in the
truth that HE IS RISEN.

An Act of Spiritual Communion: Is a prayer to
remain in spiritual communion with Christ when we are
restricted from receiving sacramental Communion.
My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the
Most Holy Sacrament. I love You above all
things, and I desire to receive You into my soul.
Since I cannot at this moment receive You
sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my
heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and
unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be
separated from You. Amen.
Thank you to our Caretakers: Though our
buildings are officially closed to the public,
each of our caretakers have been completing
some deep cleaning within our church
buildings. Their ongoing care of our
worship sites is greatly appreciated.
