For Immediate Release – LARGEST TIRE RECYCLING PLANT OPENS IN SAUDI ARABIA Jeddah, Saudi Arabia – March 12, 2014 Nabaa Al-Wessal Company (NAW Recycling) a member of the Shairco Group headquartered in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia has announced the opening of their state-of-the-art tire recycling and 25,000 tons per annum crumb rubber manufacturing facility located in Al-Wajh, Tabuk Province, Saudi Arabia. Ahmad Al-Junaidi the NAW Recycling Managing Director said “This culminates several years of planning and a multi-million US dollar investment on behalf of the Shairco Group in the finest German engineered tire recycling technology capable of processing more than 25,000 tons of scrap tire equivalents each year. We are actively working in the Saudi Arabian market with expansion plans in-Kingdom and other GCC areas during the next 36 months focusing on a wide range of rubber compound materials and value added products using crumb rubber as a base feed stock material. We are delighted to have the backing and support of the Shairco Group and have hired world class industry experts to assist with the roll out of the strategic development plans for the Company. Jeddah, Saudi Arabia – March 12, 2014 – Nabaa Al-Wessal Company (NAW Recycling)

recycling marketing and technology transfer experts to advise and provide the Company with a

wide range of marketing support services and tire recycling technology transfer programs.

Our immediate focus will be producing the best quality crumb rubber in the Saudi & GCC

markets making it suitable for the stringent US & Europe specifications required for the

successful manufacture of asphalt rubber, as a viable alternative to existing asphalt solutions for

road construction providing a safer surface for motorists with reduced breaking distances,

longer road surface life expectancy, much quieter road noise combined with other superior

performance characteristics.

We shall also be manufacturing under license a wide range of acoustical and sports surfacing

products made from crumb rubber and resin compounds” following recent additional investment

with NAW Recycling acquiring state-of-the-art sports surfacing and sound underlayment for the

construction industry manufacturing technology facilitated by K. I. Saab Associates in

collaboration with KFA .

Dr. Talal Ali Al-Shair (Sharico Group and Nabaa Al-Wessal Chairman) said “We are very

pleased to see this project become a reality after a lot of dedicated hard work undertaken by
