The young artist and graphic designer Lara Daskalou is born 1992 in Troisdorf, Germany. As a daughter of a German mother and a Greek father and though the working position of her parents she travelt a lot. Both her parents raced her in a multicultural way. She lifed in places like Sofia/ Bulgaria, Tokyo/ Japan in Cairo/ Egypt and in Athens/ Greece. Since 2011 she lifes in Berlin und studies at the university HMKW (school for media, communications and economics). Her artistic affection is imprinted by her multicultural background which comes up very strongly in her paintings. At the age of 14 she had an exhibition in the national museum of Cairo/Egypt (where she lifed at that time). Further more she had also exhibitions in Athens where she pre-sented a work in the Goethe institut. In the last 4 years she managed to establish herself in the Berlin art scene and presented her youngest collection like Farben Ber-lins, pulsierende Körper and slogans are not pretty. In a matter of fact you could say that through the years she acquired different styles and techniques. Based on the graphic studies she draws mostly with hard outlines which she combines with water techniques and dis-tortion in the perspective. In her paintings she always shows somehow the conflict between clear structured design and the intense emotion of free art. Though her pictures she assimilate the emotions and the incidents in her everyday life. She calls it „brainyoga „ to loose yourself in your emotions an let go.
