We will investigate the various conditions under which teachers will need to develop materials, the basic principles which different methodologies suggest for the ordering and types of activities, and the process of evaluating, adapting and piloting materials. As this is a seminar, some class time is devoted to student presentations of readings and workshops in materials development. AL = Applied Linguistics, the study of language in use.
