trade fair for the packaging industry it is

also the most important exhibition for us

from LANGGUTH. It is with great pride that

Aerosoldosen sind aus unserem Alltag nicht

mehr wegzudenken: Haarspray, Rasier-

schaum, Sprühsahne, Lack, ... die Liste der

kleinen Helfer ist lang. Diesen Produkten,

die wir so selbstverständlich verwenden,

liegt eine intelligente Technologie zugrun-

de. So auch bei Aztec Aerosols Ltd. aus

Großbritannien. Das Unternehmen stellt

Bremsen- und Kupplungsreiniger, Raumer-

frischungsspray und weitere Produkte für

den Industrie- und Freizeitbereich her.

Doch wie funktioniert diese Technik? Ae-

rosole sind Gemische aus einem Gas und

festen oder flüssigen Schwebeteilchen. Sie

kommen auch in der Natur häufig vor, zum

Beispiel in Form von Nebel. Bei der Ae-

rosoldose wird dieser natürliche Prozess

nachgeahmt – ganz einfach auf Sprühknopf-

druck. Dabei sind in einer Spraydose zwei

Hauptbestandteile enthalten: das eigentliche

Produkt und ein flüssiges Treibmittel. Dieses

Treibmittel ist teilweise im Produktwirkstoff

gelöst, der andere Teil liegt als gasförmiges

„Druckpolster“ darüber. Betätigt man nun

den Sprühknopf, drückt das Treibmittel den

Inhalt durch das Ventil. Das Treibmittel ver-

dampft augenblicklich und der Produktwirk-

stoff verteilt sich als feiner Nebel in der Luft.

Aerosol cans have become an essential

element in our everyday life: hairspray,

shaving foam, spray cream, varnish, … there

is a long list of these little assistants which

are based on a smart technology. Aztec

Aerosols Ltd. located in Great Britain ap-

plies all the resources of this technology

and produces brake cleaners, air refresh-

ers and further accessories for industrial

and lei sure activities.

But how does this technology work? Aero-

sols are a mix of gas as well as solid or

liq uid particles. Such mixtures can often

be found in nature, f.ex. in the form of

fog. This natural process is imitated if the

spray head of the aerosol can is pressed.

A spray can contains two main compo-

nents: the actual prod uct as well as a liq-

uid blowing agent. This blowing agent is

partly dissolved in the active ingredient

and the other part is located on the top

as a gas eous “pressure pad”. The blowing

agent pushes the contents through the

valve if the spraying head is activated. The

blowing agent evaporates immediately

and the active ingredient is distributed into

the air as a fine fog.

In order to underline the outer appear-

ance of product and trade mark after the

filling process LANGGUTH’s competence

is required: The wetLAN® 110 labels four

different aerosol cans from 400 up to 750

millimitres reliably and guarantees there-

fore an attractive design. The capacity is

approx. 100 cans per minute. With this ma-

chine also larger labels for cans up to 315

millimetre height are applied exactly. This

reliability is achieved by the well-conceived

conveyor: As the centre of gravity of the

cans is often inclined an exact orientation

is quite important. The customer is im-

pressed by this technology: Tim Loxston,

Operations Manager at Aztec Aerosols,

points out that the new LANGGUTH labeller

achieves “fantastic results”. Owing to the

wetLAN® 110 the labelling process was

shortened considerably as it has turned a

two days job with five people into an hour

with two people! The customer’s feedback

spreads enthusiasm about cans which are

perfectly labelled within a very short time.

Um nach dem Abfüllprozess auch Pro-

dukt und Marke sichtbar zu machen, ist die

Kompetenz von LANGGUTH gefragt: Die

wetLAN® 110 etikettiert vier verschiedene

Aerosoldosenformate in der Größe von 400

bis 750 Milliliter zuverlässig und sorgt auf

diese Weise für ein ansprechendes Äuße-

res. Und das bei rund 100 Dosen pro Minute.

Auch größere Etiketten für Dosen von 315

Millimeter Höhe bringt die Maschine exakt

auf. Diese Verlässlichkeit ist unter anderem

dem intelligent geplanten Transporteur zu

verdanken: Da der Schwerpunkt der Dosen

oftmals schief liegt, ist die genaue Aus-

richtung gleich doppelt wichtig. Der Kunde

zeigt sich von dieser Technik beeindruckt:

Aerosols, bescheinigt LANGGUTH „fan-

tastische Resultate“. Besonders erfreu-

lich: Der Etikettierprozess wurde dank

des Nassleimers deutlich verkürzt. Statt

mit fünf Mitarbeitern an zwei Tagen sind

nun zwei Mitarbeiter nur noch eine Stunde

beschäftigt! Nicht nur das Feedback des

Kunden versprüht Begeisterung – auch die

Aerosoldosen sehen hervorragend aus.

„Made in Austria“ – so lautet das Verspre-

chen von Austria Pet Food, Hersteller für

Hunde- und Katzennahrung. Das erst 2012

gegründete Unternehmen mit Sitz im bur-

genländischen Pöttelsdorf hat sich höchs-

ten Qualitätsstandards verschrieben –

und zwar nicht nur in Bezug auf die im Ge-

schmack variierende Tiernahrung, sondern

ebenso in puncto moderne Produktion und

höchste Hygienestandards.

Da auch LANGGUTH größten Wert auf nach-

nen des Typs hotLAN® 310-440 etikettieren

nun Leckerbissen für die Lieblingshaus-

kettiert – und das bei bis zu 45.000 Dosen

pro Stunde. Zu dieser hohen Produktivität

trägt auch ein vergrößertes Etikettenma-

gazin für ein Fassungsvermögen von 10.000

Und die Ansprüche, die an die Nahrungs-

mittel für das Herrchen gestellt werden,

gelten natürlich auch für Waldi, Bello und

Co. Für das Haustier soll es nur das Beste

geben: Bei Austria Pet Food werden größte

Qualitätsansprüche und höchste Hygiene-

standards an die Tiernahrungsmittelpro-

duktion gelegt. Umso besser, dass die

hotLAN®-Maschinen im CLEAN-Design an-

gelegt sind. Neben der erhöhten Sicherheit

überzeugt bei diesem Design besonders,

wie einfach die Maschine gereinigt werden

kann. Mög liche Verschmutzungen werden

sofort sichtbar und können schnell beseitigt

werden. Hygienisch einwandfreien Produk-

tionsprozessen steht somit nichts im Wege.

“Made in Austria” – this is a quality prom-

ise from Austria Pet Food, a producer of cat

and dog nutrition. The company, which was

founded only in 2012, is located in Pöttels-

dorf in the region of Burgenland and is com-

mitted to the highest quality standards –

for pet food of different tastes as well as

for modern production and rigorous sani-

tation requirements.

As LANGGUTH places great emphasis on

lasting product quality there is an opti-

mum cooperation between both enterpri-

ses. Four machines type hotLAN® 310-440

label delicacies for the favourite pets. The

metal cans from 415 up to 1.240 grams

are labelled by hotmelt technology with a

capac ity of 45.000 cans per hour. An exten-

ded label magazine for 10.000 labels con-

tributes to high productivity.

Arabia produces different kinds of food:

varieties of bread and fresh baked goods,

ing line and tested at Breitner’s plant. Both

companies focus on highest quality and

have decades of expertise. Only after suc-

cessful tests the filling line and the labeller

leave Germany as an all-round carefree

package. All components are sent by sea-

freight to Saudi Arabia for commissioning –

the Food and Fine Pastries Manufacturing

Produktion nun deutlich vereinfacht. Die

wetLAN® 190 ist eine halbautomatische

berries or sparkling blue water is con-

cerned – impressive colours delight our

eyes and uplift our spirit. Especially in and

around the house we like cosy and homely

colour nuances. Reincke Naturfarben lo-

cated in Buxtehude (Northern Germany)

is an expert in this field. Under the trade

mark Leinos the company produces col-

ours based on natural components.

Take for example wall paint: Mud has a

moisture-regulating effect and lime pro-

vides antibacterial as well as antifungal

benefits. Solvent-free oils refine wood of

floors and furniture in order to repair or

to protect surfaces or to achieve a bril-

liant outer appearance. In order to accen-

tuate Reincke Naturfarben’s wide range of

products optically LANGGUTH followed the

motto: Keep it colourful! This is proven by

the wet glue labeller which simplified the

production considerably. The wetLAN® 190

is a semi-automatic labeller which distin-

guishes itself by functioning and quality as

well as by a reasonable price. The desk-

top model works semi-automatically, i.e.

the containers are put into the machine by

hand. The special advantage is that due to

the extremely short conversion time Reincke

Naturfarben can now realize also small

batches fast and cost-effectively. This is

particularly valuable as a great variety of

cans has to be labelled: 18 containers in-

cluding cans from 0,25 up to 2 litres, addi-

tionally PE and PET bottles, metal cans,

glass bottles, putty cans, slip lid tins and

wideneck cans. The various-sized contain-

ers are equipped with wraparound labels

containing spacings for handle eyelets. A

lot of functions for a small all-rounder!

The wetLAN® 190 has pursuaded Reincke

Naturfarben as an entry-level model in

such a way that further investments in form

of a fully automatic labeller will follow.

Etikettiermaschine, die nicht nur durch

unter Dosen von 0,25 bis 2 Liter, außerdem

zylindrische PE- und PET-Flaschen, Blech-

dosen, Flachkannen, Glasflaschen, Spach-

teldosen, Stülpdeckeldosen und Weithals-

dosen. Benötigt werden Rundumetiketten

mit Aussparungen für die Henkelösen. Das

Ganze in einem großen Formatbereich.

Über 2.700 Aussteller präsentieren hier ihre

neuesten Entwicklungen. Ein wichtiges The-

ma der interpack ist der globale Lebensmit-

telverlust: Bereits am 7. Mai findet die zwei-

tägige, öffentliche SAVE FOOD-Konferenz

im Congress Center Süd statt. Unter dem

gleichen Motto beginnt die Sonderschau

INNOVATIONPARC PACKAGING auf dem

Außengelände zwischen den Hallen 2 und 3.

Hier stellen Partner der SAVE FOOD Ini-

tiative konkrete und praktische Ansätze

zur Bekämpfung der Nahrungsmittel-

verschwendung aus den Bereichen Ver-

packungsdesign, Packmittel und Ma-

schinenbau vor. Auf der ganzen Welt ist

die Verpackung ein wichtiges Mittel, um

dem Lebensmittelverlust vorzubeugen

und um einwandfreie Produkte zu liefern.

Doch ohne Maschinen, keine verpackten

Produkte: Unter dem Motto „Technik für

Menschen“ stehen daher Verpackungsma-

schinen im Fokus des Standes des VDMA

Fachverbandes Nahrungsmittelmaschinen

und Verpackungsmaschinen.

arbeit an der Beseitigung von Schwachpunk-

ten zu arbeiten. Durch diesen vereinfachten

Prozess möchten wir in Zukunft sicher auf-

gestellt bleiben und unseren Kunden lang-

fristig optimierte Produktionsabläufe ga-

rantieren. Damit Qualität weiterhin nicht nur

booth of the German Engineering Associa tion

VDMA – division for food processing machin-

ery and packaging machines – the focus is

on packaging machines under the slogan
