Land Rover RCHLightweight NBC Reconnaissance Vehicle
PurposeThe NBC reconnaissance vehicle Land Rover RCH is intended for rapid mobile NBC reconnaissance, marking out of areas contaminated with radioactive and/or chemical toxic agents, and taking of NBC samples. The vehicle is able to perform NBC reconnaissance under difficult conditions both during combat employment of NBC weapons as well as ecological accidents. The group of Land Rover RCH vehicles can work, cooperating with a mobile NBC collection and evaluation centre, within an automated net for detection, transmission, storing and evaluation of NBC measurement data.
DescriptionVehicle is based on Land Rover Defender 130 chassis. Special equipment is inbuilt in air-conditioned and NBC-overpessured box. Auxiliary power unit, some NBC portable equipment and supply stuff are carried in small trailer. The Land Rover RCH vehicle is equipped by smart, sensitive and automatic gadgets for detecti-on of nuclear, chemical and meteorological situation. Obtained NBC data are automatically sorted, stored and sent as the NBC messages (ATP-45) to NBC collection and evaluation centre.
