Viable, sustainable and vibrant communities are built on sound, considered planning decisions by State and Local Governments.

Land Insights works with public sector agencies to provide them with the strategic, independent advice they need to make good planning decisions.

Land Insights provides strategic planning, environmental planning and community liaison to State and Local Government clients, but our services extend beyond the obvious. We have extensive community liaison capabilities and a vast network of quality consultants at our finger tips. We have an enviable history of working with government on a range of projects and this experience has equipped us with firsthand knowledge of government protocols and systems. We know that no two projects are the same and we are not afraid to bring fresh ideas to the table.

When it comes to planning, government clients need objective advice from a reputable third party to ensure they make informed decisions. Land Insights is that third party.

We look forward to working with you.

Michael Taylforth provided environmental and planning services for the Shire of Serpentine Jarradale. We needed an experienced and professional representative to resolve areas of dispute with third parties and his experience helped resolve these issues.

He also briefed Councillors and senior staff in Council and assisted the Shire in obtaining environmental grants and to win an award for its environmental work.

His professional and no-nonsense attitude in getting jobs done proved to be a great resource for the Strategic Community Planning Team.

I highly recommend Michael for any environmental or urban planning consultancy; he is a planner with tact, knowledge and experience.

expect lateral thinking from our team of highly-respected professionals who always look beyond the obvious and deliver fresh ideas to each and every project. Land Insights consider the bigger picture, we think about the social, environmental and economic aspects of projects, not simply the physical characteristics.

But we strike a balance here - we are also acutely aware of the need for efficiency and we always meet required deadlines. We also have a thorough understanding of the processes and systems within which our government clients work.

P Nielson, Town of Kwinana

I engaged Michael Taylforth to prepare the environmental and strategic planning assessment and Rural Concept Planning for a significant local Town Planning Scheme Amendment for Stakehill Swamp, south of Perth.

We chose Michael because of his previous excellent work with the Rockingham Council and community as part of the Rockingham Rural Wedge Study (examining the potential for urban land use within rural areas of the Local Government.)

As a result of having Michael Taylforth on board, the Stakehill Swamp study was able to progress in a timely and professional manner and most importantly for this area, Michael was able to effectively and constructively liaise with the community to determine their issues and concerns.
