LAMIGAMID 1200 (PA 12G) is the top product by Schwartz. No other polyamide meets the same high standards or combines as many beneficial properties. Which is why LAMIGAMID 1200 is used wherever other plastics no longer perform well enough. The superior properties of LAMIGAMID 1200 at a glance:

These versatile properties make LAMIGAMID 1200 the perfect material for the widest range of uses, such as:

ø Gear, worm and chain wheels; this is where the top polyamide comes into its own with regard to fa-tigue strength, damping behaviour, low noise deve-lopment and low wear

ø Sheaves; excellent heavy load behaviour, dimensio-nal stability (does not flatten) and excellent viscosity make Lamigamid 1200 the material of choice for uses e.g. in cranes and conveyors

ø Custom cast items; the non-pressurised casting process means that there are virtually no limits to the size or shape of the finished items. Anything is possible up to an item weight of 600 kg

ø Sliding, sealing and wear rings; thanks to their excellent sliding properties and compatibility with almost any chemical and lubricant, the items are extremely long-lasting. At operating temperatures between - 80 and + 100°C.

ø Lamigamid 310 – strong standardAnd at Schwartz, even „standard“ goes far beyond the usual quality benchmark. Our standard quality meets very high requirements for load-bearing and dimensional stability. Tough-viscous cast polyamide is used primarily for wheels in construction cranes, lifting tables, conveyor and transportation systems, and sliding gates. With regard to price/quality, this material is unbeatable.

ø Lamigamid 319 – when the going gets wetOil-filled tough-viscous cast polyamide that is notable for its low coefficient of friction in dry operation, and absorbs minimal moisture. That is why sheaves made of Lamigamid 319 can also be used without roller or sliding bearings. This means this material is ideal for outdoor use and in water.

ø Lamigamid 320 – always stays in shapeParticularly hard, particularly heavy duty. Even with high stationary loads, Lamigamid 320 will not flatten significantly. Which is why this strong material is used, for instance, for bridge and portal cranes, electric and chain pulleys, elevating trucks and shelf access equipment - where high load-bearing capacities are required.

ø Lamigamid 324/327 – hot and fastThis material has similar properties to Lamigamid 320, plus a slightly higher load-bearing capacity and excellent heat resistance. This is important e.g. in systems where high speeds are combined with heavy loads.

ø Lamigamid 1200 – the royal leagueThis high-performance polyamide combines all the superior material properties: resistance to moisture and chemicals; excellent wear and creeping stability, excellent gliding behaviour, complete dimensional stability and high fatigue resis-tance. Another tremendous advantage: Lamigamid 1200 is approved without restriction for use in the food and medical technology industries.

The material requirements for sheaves in particular can vary tremendously. Schwartz offers five different ma-terials in order to meet the requirements for any area of use and keep material costs as low as possible.
