Other Disturbances / Areas to Watch November 30, 2017 marked the end of the 2017 Atlantic hurricane season, which caused an unprecedented amount of damage across the Atlantic basin. No tropical development is expected. Issuance of this report will resume on May 15, 2018. However, if there is a threat of development prior to then, we will resume transmission of this product.

NOBRA Draft Restrictions in Place:  None. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++ NOBRA High Water Mooring and Transit Rules 1.  When the river reaches seven (7) feet at the Carrollton Gage, all head-down landings will be conducted during daylight hours only.   2.  Above LMR MM 220, vessels drafting 41’ or greater are restricted to daylight only. -Vessels must get underway 3 hours prior to the official sunset time.   -Exceptions will be made for shifts from berths to/from the Middle Baton Rouge anchorage.

Note: Effective Tuesday, February 20, 2018, at 0800, NOBRA will accept orders for loaded ships of 36’ or greater to anchor in the Reserve Anchorage.  Pilots will not be required to stay onboard if the draft is 36’ or greater. Any vessels with less than 36’ will require a pilot onboard at all times.
