our MISSIONLake County Haven empowers homeless women and their children to achieve permanent, independent living.

“The ache for home lives in all of us.” Maya Angelou’s

words are often reflected by the women and children

who come to The Haven. They ache for home, safety,

comfort, and stability. They long for a sense of family

and belonging. They yearn to know where they will lay

their children down to sleep each night and how they will

feed them.

The Lake County Haven fills all these needs and more.

We provide a sanctuary in the chaos of homelessness.

We provide food, shelter, family, and community. We

instill hope, teach faith, and give love.

We couldn’t do any of these things without you. Your

generous support keeps our homes operating each and

every day. You keep the lights on and the stove lit. You

help us to surround our residents with support and

guidance. We thank you, from the bottom of our hearts,

for all that you have given to our residents.

• 13,104 hours of counseling, case management, advocacy, and group services provided

• Countless amounts of groceries, clothing, furniture, and necessities of life provided

• 7 days per week, 5–6 hours per day

• Classes and therapeutic groups

• Designed to prepare people for independence

• Topics include: Job Acquisition, Money Smart, Recovery First, Mental Health Care, Success at Work, Communication Skills, Spiritual Life, Physical Health Management, Meditation, Building Relationships, Parenting, Emotion Management, Nutrition for Family Health, Art Therapy, Random Acts of Kindness, and Stress Management

ADOPT-A-NIGHT Corporate Partnership Program Adopt-a-Night is a program designed for individuals, families, clubs, houses of worship,

and small businesses. You can adopt any night at our shelter for $250. By doing so, you

are sponsoring that night…providing the means for shelter and services. This program

offers a wonderful way to connect with our shelter and its residents. For more informa-

This program shows what happens when community-minded businesses pair with

local nonprofits to make a difference. Our Corporate Partners help in a variety of

ways, including lending business expertise, working on agency projects, providing

financial support, and lending executives to work on leadership projects. Staff of

involved companies gain the ability to make a difference, an opportunity to make new

connections, and the satisfaction of helping others.
