In Lagaan, Bhuvan wanted to give a TAXFREEenvironment to his village & he achieved his mission

by challenging and winning a cricket match with theBritish.

Bhuvan- A Visionary for the village.

Bhuvan did not dream for himself; but fordevelopment of his village.

He was a visionary who thought for thehappiness of his village folk.

Not once did this man of character put his self-interest before that of others. It was this trait ofhis that made him win the support of his

villagers after some initial resistance.

Accepting Opportunitiesin Adversities Bhuvan & the Village inhabitants didnt know

how to play cricket but still bhuvan acceptedthe challenge given by captain Russell to winthe game for three years of TAX FREEhappiness.

Bhuvan potrayed game to his villagers as gilli-danda to make it simplified.

Positive Attitude

Initially, the entire village oppose Bhuvan for having taken upchallenge from captain Russell but Bhuvan was positive in hisattitude towards his goal right from the start which ultimately leadsthem to success.

How and from where do we derive the positive attitude?

In bhuvans case, he always knew that fighting for a good cause andfor the TRUTH, would definitely lead him to SUCCESS.His SELF-CONFIDENCE, to a great extent helped him achieve his task.

When everything else seems lost, God shows the way ofcourse, as long as you are on the right track.

TEAM BUILDINGTEAM BUILDING Building the team is like recruitment. One needs

to select the right people and motivate them.

He understood the pressures and tense momentsfelt by the villagers and he influenced them to bepart of his team.

He treated his team members as special andbeing different irrespective of their variousimpairments and disabilities.

Teamwork Hardly Ever Fails A team succeeds mostly as the members put

their efforts and hard work together and thesynergy creates a new magic.

Individuals weakness gets overshadowed bypeoples strengths.

Bhuvan assigned roles, tasks , responsibilitydepending on individual capability andskills.

In times of adversities and pressure, when thevillagers are not confident of winning, Bhuvan

always encourages and stands with thembacking them with moral support with help ofhis Positive Attitude.

Biggest strength of bhuvan was: CAN DO ATTITUDE

ust fulfilling his duty could have made him to dothings well but Passion made him to Excel.

To be a winning combination, they required skillslike constant focus, hardwork passion, risk taking

ability and lastly Self-Belief.

Never Say Die.Never Say Die.

Even the last ball of the match was played with

hope. 5 runs to win out of 1 ball, but Bhuvan played it

great expectations as though it could win thematch for the team and that is exactly what

happened. He never gave up on his ability and confidencewhich ultimately led them to a Victory.

No matter how well Bhuvan played the match, nothingwould have been possible if all the team members did

not put in their efforts.

Bhuvan showed how an average team filled with teamspirit can overcome a group of talented, experienced but

under-motivated individuals.

Implementation in Organization We faced with a situation in an organization where we have to deal

with and handle several projects at a time, we often wish for somemore time in hand.

TIME MANAGEMENT IS A BIG CHALLENGE FOR MANAGERSAND LEADERS of TODAY.

In order to take major, complicated decisions, in a short time

interval; it is very essential for a manager to be Focused, Preciseabout his goals and be adequately knowledgeable.

Alertness and Presence of Mind always helps as we never knowwhen opportunity knocks on the doors.

Entrepreneurs An Entrepreneur has to hear a lot of Nos

At the end of day what matters is how many

No's you turn into yes. So never limit yourself to boundaries.

There are absolutely No Short Cuts to SUCCESS, one has to put inmaximum efforts.

One should set a goal for himself and then work hard and smart to

reach there.

Follow the work ethics that is to bring an honest and sincereapproach to work and maintain relationships.
