The COMFORT ladder lowering sys-tem guarantees the safe and simple operation of heavy equipment, func-tional units and independent extingu-ishing devices.

Entirely ergonomic
The COMFORT ladder lowering device constitutes a system that can be operated both electrically and manually. Depending on the type, the maximum loading weight can range from 50-150 kg and this capacity is recognizable from the code number after the product name. Safety and ergonomics were the predominant factors during the development of the COMFORT system and in order to achieve minimum physical loads on the firefighters, the final position of the cradle is below 30 degrees.

Rosenbauer’s COMFORT ladder lowering system* offers convincing operation that is both extremely simple and safe. In addition to the holders, the electrical lowering system facilitates the quick loading and unloading of three- section sliding and scaling ladders, suction hoses and other items of equipment. The high loading capacity of up to 150 kg, permits the transport of important additional payloads, such as inflatable dinghies.
Press-button lowering
An aluminum cradle accommodates both sliding ladders and suction hoses and can be run out from the back of the vehicle by means of a rack. Lowe-ring into an ergonomically ideal positi-on takes place using spring cushioning. A special feature is the triggering of each phase with a single press of a button.
Compact dimensions
The COMFORT series is suitable for universal applications and no special prerequisites are required for the fitting of vehicles with the lowering system. A base frame length of 2,950 mm and a cradle length of 5,000 mm ensure unrestricted installation on standard fire service vehicle superstructures.
Low height. High load-bearing capacity.
All three types of COMFORT ladder lowering system offer plentiful space for additional payload. Depending on the ladder cradle, the widths of 510, 540 and 600 mm allow space-saving roof loading. In addition, the lateral placing of holders for suction hoses is possible.
Can be easily mounted on all standard fire service vehicle superstructures.

A wealth of variations
The COMFORT 50 ladder lowering system offers safe and easy handling for loads of up to 50 kg. It is made of light-weight aluminum and three lateral supports are bonded or bolted onto the roof of the vehicle. Depending on the type, up to four scaling ladders can be accommodated.

The COMFORT 50 in overview:

The COMFORT 50 Type A ladder lowering system can be used on superstructures with height of between 2,300 and 3,000 cm. An operating lever facilitates comfortable ladder removal at ground level. The lever* is simple locked into the pre-mounted hinge.

The COMFORT 100 ladder lowering device has a height of only 120 mm and its width of just 240 mm is also extreme-ly space-saving. These optimized dimensions ensure more room on the roof.

Outstanding safety and ergonomics
The COMFORT 100 lowering system convinces with optimum safety and ergonomics for firefighters in combi-nation with loads of up to 100 kg. These characteristics are ensured by a low removal height and the end position of the support sections at between 35° and 55°. Even the loading and unloading of heavy equipment involves markedly less effort.
High load-bearing capacity
The high load-bearing capacity of up to 100 kg offers space for important additional payloads such as suction hoses or essential ladders. Like the 50 version, the COMFORT 100 can be supplied with an operating lever for comfortable removal at ground level.

The height of COMFORT
The COMFORT 150 ladder lowering system combines the advantages of the 50 and 100 series with regard to safety and ergonomics with a very high loading capacity of 150 kg. Using the COMFORT 150 ladder lowering system, firefighters can load and unload even the heaviest equip-ment without excessive physical strain.

Versatile applications
The COMFORT 150 ladder lowering system can be sup-plied in differing types. Depending on requirements, it is possible to load up various sorts of ladders, suction hoses of up to 5 m and other pieces of extra equipment. These items can be fix-mounted or anchored individually or in combinations.
