    Crochet Hook

    Size US I/9 (5.5 mm ) fo r Sund anc e o r size US

    G/ 6 (4 mm) fo r Soft Linen

    GAUGE: 1312 (18) sts in sc -tb l. Gauge is not

    critical for this design.

    PATTERN STITCHES:

    ch: (chain) Wrap the yarn around the cro-

    chet hook (yarn over) and draw it through

    the loop on the hook to form the first chain.

    Rep this step as many times as instructed.

    (The loo p on t he ho ok is never included

    when c ounting the number of c hains).

    sc: (single crochet) Insert crochet hook in

    indicated stitch, yarn over and pull up a

    loop; yarn over and draw through both

    loops on hook.

    sc tbl: (single crochet through the backloop) Insert croche t hook into the b ac k loop

    of indicated stitch, yarn over and pull up

    a loop; yarn over and draw through both

    loops on hook.

    sl st: (slip stitc h) Insert crochet hook in the

    indicat ed stitch, yarn over and d raw through

    around head, working an even number
