Hope all the members had an enjoyable season and are looking toward our fall activities and next season. Would like to remind everyone to cast your vote this weekend during elections for the Board of Directors. The new Board will take their seats at the first meeting in September and we will get to work on the replacement of the sewer plant as well as the daily operations of the campground. Thanks to our employees for their hard work this year and also to the volunteer workers who stepped up and put in long hours to keep our campground running this year. Thanks to all the committee's and their volunteers who gave us all our activities and entertainment this season. I salute them and appreciate their efforts. Hope every-one has a safe and healthy winter and are looking forward to next season as much as I am. Bob Villella G-Section Rep.

SOCIAL

Well, this has been a very fabulous two year stint as your Social Chair. First off I would like to thank my right hand man, Tony Guadagnolo. He took this on and helped week in & week out with anything that needed done. I’m sure you all saw him as I did - as the backbone of Social and he truly was nothing short of amazing. There have been so many people that have stepped up to help out all year long but my regulars, the couple that was al-ways there for me every time we needed help, were Dale and Carla Callender. Without them, I would be beyond ex-hausted. Thank you to Dan and Sue Duncan, always helping with tables, chairs and tearing our tickets! Of course, the first year would have been impossible without Doug Cumensl help as Co-Chair. He handled our Cow Patty Bingo twice last year; renewed the pumpkin carving event for the kids and started a chili cook off. By his side, Jan Cumens was there getting you all full with yummy food each time! Even though Doug’s work schedule did not allow him to return this year, he joined social and still set up and ran the Cow Patty for July 4th and then helped Mike Grady set it up for us this weekend. It is hard to thank everyone for all they did, but our Luau was amazing and would not have been the same without the help of Sierra Siebert, Minnie Maloney, Joannie Mussomeli and Stephen Smallwood among so many other faithful helpers! Our first ever Beach Party Extravaganza was one of the best days on the lake I’ve seen in awhile. Very special thanks to Donna Snyder and Sierra Siebert, along with Sandy Johnson, Wayne Blumling, Jack Backus and DJ Jeff Snyder for all their help. This entire year it was so nice to see everyone having great fun on the weekends. I know there are many others to list, and they are not forgotten all the help we was was very much appreciated!!! A very gracious thank you to the three C’s for their help with Bingo all year long….believe me I would not have been able to have so many other events, if they had not taken that off the table for Tony and I! Their help was invaluable in making this year as successful as last year. And of course, last but not least thank you to all those Bingo players!! We loved running Bingo for you and are so glad to see you each week having fun! Tony and I are more than happy to meet with the new social people in the next few weeks and help them get started, if they need anything, before next season. I’m very glad to have served in this role and it was a lot of fun, but it’s time to move on and let someone else get ahold of the reins!

YOUTH

Mid July our Youth committee got going (yes a little late) but started out with a wonderful Christmas in July for the kids! Special thanks to “Santa and Mrs Claus” and all the E Section camps that made it for a delightfully decorated Christmas for the kids. A very special thank you to all of E SECTION and the YOUTH COMMITTEE and of course, SANTA and MRS CLAUS!! The youth committee is moving right along and having lots of fun events each weekend, if you would like to join them for next year (and the rest of this year) please sign up in the of-fice. SPECIAL thanks to LynnDee Sill; Dawn Grady; Shannon McAfee and Gioia Mangis. There are many many others to say thank you too….we appreciate all that you do for the

Social Committee Hi Campers, If you don’ know by now we are in need of a chairperson to head the social commi ee for 2015. It doesn’t have to be one person it can be co-chaired.  We need someone to step up and get involved.  I have heard some rumors that this person or that person will take it but no confirma ons. Without a social commi ee there will be: No bingos, no dances, no trivia, no dinners, no fireworks etc. Star ng in 2015 we will get our small games of chance back which will allow us to have all raffles (50/50, lo ery, golf cart), night at the races and others. There is a lot of money to be made for MCA Campers entertainment.  Sign up sheets for the social commi ee are in the office for next year.

SPECIAL NOTICES

B Section

IMPORTANT REMINDER

All dogs must be on a leash and under the owners control at all times. No pets are per-mitted in or around the playgrounds, lake area pavilions, tennis courts, mini golf, volley-ball court, swimming areas/beach or main building/store areas. You are responsible for

cleaning up their litter immediately.

As we wind down another year of camping I pause to reflect upon 2014. We have had more than our share of troubles with the theft of money from our office, the turn over of office personnel to get the right person hired to work for our camp grounds (not their personal agen-das). Of course there was the devastating fire we had this spring. Through it all for the most part, we the MCA Family stuck together, picked each other up and moved on and for that I applaud and thank you. Hopefully we will learn from our past mistakes and fix them, try not to repeat them and make 2015 our come back year.

Bowling It was a long cold winter and it was great to be back at camp, yet as spring has come and gone and summer is quickly coming to an end, we’ve deeply missed (2) of our beloved friends we had lost this past winter … Mary Jane Frawley and Paul Toocheck. Although Mary Jane and Paul were not lifelong friends of mine, they were too many of you. They were very dear friends to me. Both had welcomed my husband and myself to MCA with kindness and friendship. Bowling was a fellowship that both Mary Jane and Paul looked forward in sharing life with all of us each and every week. In fact when I had spoke with each of them regarding this bowling season they both were extremely excited in being part of the 2014 Bowling season. I loved them both dearly and will treasure each and every memory of them … they both are greatly missed. I’ve missed their smiles, I’ve missed their kindness, I’ve missed their humor and I’ve even missed their mischievous ways, but most of all I’ve missed them telling me that they loved me and that was each and every time we spoke. As this camping season is quickly coming to an end I ask that all of you take a moment of silence in memory of our beloved friends / teammates … Mary Jane Frawley and Paul Toocheck … may they rest in peace.

*****PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU HAVE PHOTO ID WHEN WRITING PASSES IN CASE WE DO NOT RECOGNIZE YOU AS A LEASE HOLDER AS THERE ARE NEW EMPLOYEES IN THE OFFICE ***** REMEMBER HOLIDAY WEEKENDS it is $10 per car load. Do not pass gate cards at or around the gate or campground area on the holiday weekend. If you are caught doing so you will be written up and billed for any guest that are let through without purchasing a guest pass. Anyone not on the lease will have to have a guest pass paid for by MCA member before they are allowed in camp. Members must sign guest passes ahead of time. Guests cannot be let in just by giving us $10. TRANSFERS A lot of campers have asked lately about LEASE TRANSFERS: If you are transferring or deleting names off your current lease, you need pay the office $25 to start the paperwork and the name(s) of the person(s) to be changed or deleted to or from the lease. ** If you are adding new names then we will be running a back ground check on new members and that is $35.00 per person getting a back ground check done.** Then we need at least three days to type a new lease and get the back ground checks conducted (the background check could take longer). After that is completed, all of the people on the lease now, including the person who is going to be deleted, need to sign off the old and new lease and the amount due at signing is another $125 for a total of $150. If there has been a death $25.00 of the transfer fee will be waived. GATE CARDS If you lose a gate card or it is stolen, we need the numbers of the cards you still have in your pos-session to determine the card number that was lost or stolen so that it can be deleted from our sys-tem. The cost to replace that card is $5 if I can determine its number. If you do not tell me the numbers of your other cards the cost to replace it is $25.

***WE DO NOT SELL GATE CARDS ON HOLIDAY WEEKENDS*** Remember you can start making payments on next year’s dues at any time. Just be sure to write your lot number and what the check or money order is for in the memo line of the check or money order. Have a Safe Holiday, MCA OFFICE STAFF

While you are there, we will have a petting zoo; feed the animals; pony rides; bounce house; games; food and ice cones!!

Please come out and support Youth and Social for our last big fund-raiser. We both still need a few bucks to get us through the season. You can buy your COW PATTY tickets through Joyce Burns A-124, or find Ruby out and about and you can get tickets through her or at

the dances on Friday or Saturday night.

Have a safe and happy Labor Day Weekend!!!

Attention Members...a reminder that the dumpsters are for garbage only! Violators will be charged a $50.00 fine for the first offense. Keep in mind that the dumpsters are un-der surveillance. The campground will be charged an additional fee for each dumpster that has nonapproved trash in it. For example, construction material, furniture, mat-tresses, electronics etc. If in doubt you can check with the office. Thanks, BOD
