WEEE RoHS And PB (Lead) Free Labels

WEEE is a European Union (EU) Directive that requires the collection and treatment of Electronic and Electrical Equipment (EEE) at the end of the product’s life. The EEE marking is defined in EN 50419 and the crossed-out wheelie bin is one of the correct methods. RoHS is another EU Directive – the Restriction of certain Hazardous Substances, banning the use of certain substances in EEE products placed on the European market after July 2006. These are: Cadmium (Cd), Mercury (Hg), Hexavalent Chromium (Cr (VI)), Polybrominated Biphenyls (PBBs), Polybrominated Diphenyl Ethers (PBDEs) and Lead (Pb).

Anyone who manufactures and sells electrical or electronic equipment within the specified categories under their own brand, sells equipment produced by other suppliers under their own brand, or imports (or exports) affected equipment into EU member states will be affected by both directives.

B’lasterE-ZStickerRemover: End the frustration of scratching and scraping to remove adhesive-backed materials or any sticky mess. The E-Z Sticker Remover can be used to remove stickers from documents, DVDs, CDs or sticky situations involving any adhesive. Will not stain and safe to use on most surfaces. Perfect for the office situation.

B’LasterDecal&StickerRemover(DSR): The ultimate product for removing tough adhesives. DSR is an industrial solution engineered to assist the removal of vinyl lettering and graphics, designed to break down and destroy the adhesive ability of stickers and labels allowing them to be removed without harming or scratching the base paint. Available in 339g Aerosol Can or 3.8 Litre Tin with complimentary spray bottle.

BlasterWheel: Manufactured from soft rubber to avoid scratching, the Blaster Wheel literally ‘blasts’ vinyl from their substrates. It removes the decal by lightly wearing it down and is great when removing large areas of vinyl. Simply attach to standard drills with the arbor (supplied). Finish off the job by using DSR on any remaining adhesive.

Seton Label Identification Guide

Vinyl A flexible material, scuff-resistant, and ultraviolet-resistant to withstand outdoor use. Life span is 3 years or more outdoors. Great for curved surfaces. Can be used indoors or outdoors. Lifespan is 5 years outdoors. If exposed to direct sunlight we recommend an over laminate.

Paper Recommended for indoor use only. Works well when a write-on surface or temporary labels is needed.

Write-On Vinyl Allows you to easily write in details such as dates and names. Backed with a removable adhesive that holds firmly in place until purposely removed.

Setonglo Polyester Exceptional durable material. Best used on flat or slightly curved surfaces. Often metalised or chromed for a mirror-like finish. For indoor and outdoor use. Manufactured from high-grade luminous polyester, the labels are guaranteed to glow for 10+ hours in the dark without any mechanical or electrical power source. Just require 5 minutes charge time in light.

Aluminium Foil Permanently debossed, so writing remains readable even if the ink is removed. Use indoors or outdoors. Refer to page 753.

Aluminium Soft and pliable metal can be bent for application to curved surfaces. Low scratch resistance and will withstand exposure to most chemicals. Refer to pages 805–806.

Brass An alloy off copper and zinc, distinguishable by its gold colour. Can be used indoors or outdoors and has good chemical and scratch resistance. Refer to page 806.

Stainless Steel Tough enough for the harshest of environments, has excellent chemical, scratch and corrosion resistance, and withstands temperatures up to 1200ºC. Shinier finish than Aluminium tags. Refer to page 807.

Destructible Vinyl Very thin, fragile material that breaks into small pieces when attempts are made to remove it. Holds securely to most flat or curved smooth, clean surfaces. Refer to page 803.

Tamper Evident Leaves a checkboard pattern behind when removal is attempted. Refer to page 796.
