METHOD
Calcareous soils with south-western exposure at an
altitude of 500 metres. The Barbera vines are nearly
twenty years old. Grapes were picked in the first week
of October and underwent maceration on skins for ten
days, fermented in stainless steel tanks, then
maturation for eight months in used French oak
barriques followed by six months in bigger French oak
barrels.
TASTING NOTES
Yum… Rich, deep, earthy yet so elegant. Some red cherries, then waves of
blackberries and plums. Delicious.
VICTUALS
Awesome with pasta and a rich, tomato-based ragu, a spicy puttanesca sauce,
fettuccine alla Bolognese, veal in a creamy sauce, or cheese-wise something such
as Taleggio
