Jesús ha resucitado! ¡Jesús verdaderamente ha resucitado!

¿Adivina qué? ¡Es la Pascua! ¡Lo lograste! Si bien el viaje fue largo, valió la

pena. Finalmente hemos llegado a la cima del calendario litúrgico. Si bien

podemos pensar que el punto culminante es la Navidad, para nosotros como

cristianos, no celebraríamos la Navidad si no fuera por la Pascua. Si Jesús no

hubiera resucitado, todo lo que creemos sería en vano. La vida después de la

muerte no existiría de acuerdo con lo que creemos. La moralidad no tendría

consecuencias eternas. La vida perdería tanto sentido y la felicidad sería

redefinida. ¡Sin embargo, Jesús ha resucitado!

Antes de las buenas nuevas de la Resurrección, estaban las malas noticias. El

pecado era imperdonable. Si bien tenia la oportunidad de ser perdonado si

mataba a un animal en sacrificio pero no había garantías. Tus pecados

podrían siempre agobiarte hasta que se convirtiera en una carga insoportable.

Una gran parte de las malas noticias era que se debian seguir todas las leyes

exactamente; de lo contrario, usted era una persona terrible y horrible, y Dios

nunca lo amará si no cumplía la ley a la perfección y se ganaba su respeto.

Una noticia difícil es que debemos tener miedo, tener mucho miedo de todo.

La verdad es que todo puede lastimarte o llevarte a la tristeza. Sin el Espíritu

Santo, también tenemos este triste hecho de que estamos solos. No hay

ayuda para nosotros. Tenemos que hacer todo por nuestra cuenta.

Sin embargo, las dos peores partes de las malas noticias son que la vida no

tiene sentido. Antes de la Resurrección, tenías muchas filosofías diferentes

de la vida. La filosofía que fue más prominente y que sigue siendo hoy en

día es: "Disfruta de la vida porque mañana podemos morir". A nadie le

importas; depende de ti lograrlo en la vida ". Y, por último, todos morirán y,

a continuación, a dónde iremos, nadie lo sabe.

Esta es una perspectiva bastante triste de la vida. Sin embargo, alaba a Dios

porque lo contrario de todas estas malas noticias es cierto. Hoy, Jesús ha

resucitado de entre los muertos. Tenemos las buenas noticias. Tenemos

esperanza, alegría, fe, amor y felicidad. Jesús es el camino, la verdad y la

vida. Si no hubiera resucitado, ninguna de sus enseñanzas sería verdadera.

Sin embargo, se levantó. Y tenemos mucho de qué alegrarnos. Se da perdón.

Se nos da gratuitamente el amor de Dios. Nada puede hacernos daño y no

debemos tener miedo. Nunca estamos solos; Jesús siempre está con nosotros.

Tenemos significado en nuestras vidas. Y por último, pero lo más

importante, la muerte es conquistada y cada uno de nosotros puede vivir para

siempre. Deja que la alegría contagiosa de este día te llene y que compartas

con todos tus seres queridos, la esperanza y la alegría que tenemos como

cristianos. ¡Feliz Pascua!

Oportunidad de Voluntariado - Caminando

Juntos, está buscando un recepcionista voluntario

que saludará a los clientes, responderá las

llamadas telefónicas y dirigirá a los clientes a los

recursos de la comunidad. Esta posición requiere

uno o dos turnos por semana en la mañana (incrementos de 1-2 horas) y requiere

fluidez tanto en inglés como en español. El trabajo voluntario anterior con

centros de recursos comunitarios es útil pero no obligatorio. Se proporcionará

Hospitalidad/Hospitality El desayuno después de las Misas estará suspendido

hasta que estemos de regreso en el edificio de la

Iglesia. Por lo tanto, el primero, segundo y último

fin de semana del mes no tendremos pan, donas, o

desayuno. Breakfast after the Masses will be sus-

pended until we are back in the Church building

since it will be difficult to set up and take down

chairs and tables after every Mass. So, on the first,

second, and last week ends of the month, we will not

be having bread, donuts, or breakfast.

Jesus has risen! Jesus is truly risen!

Guess what? It’s Easter! You made it! While the journey was long, it was

worth it. We have finally reached the apex of the liturgical calendar. While

we may think that the high point is Christmas, for us as Christians, we

wouldn’t celebrate Christmas if it wasn’t for Easter. Had Jesus not risen, all

that we believe would be in vain. Life after death wouldn’t exist according to

what we believe. Morality wouldn’t have eternal consequences. Life would

lose so much meaning and happiness would be redefined. However, Jesus

has risen!

Before the good news of the Resurrection, there was the bad news. Sin was

unforgivable. While you did have a chance to be forgiven if you slaughtered

an animal in sacrifice but there were no guarantees. Your sins could forever

weigh you down until it became an unbearable burden. A huge part of the

Bad News was that you must follow every law exactly otherwise you are a

terrible, horrible person and God will never love you if you don’t life out the

law perfectly and earn his respect. Some difficult news is that we must be

afraid, be very afraid of everything. The truth is that everything can hurt you,

or lead you to sadness. Without the Holy Spirit, we also have this sad fact

that we are alone. There is no help for us. We have to do everything on our

own.

However, the two worst parts of the bad news is there is no meaning to life.

Before the Resurrection, you had many different philosophies of life. The

philosophy that was the most prominent and still is today is, “Enjoy life be-

cause tomorrow we may die. No one cares about you; it is up to you to

make it in life.” And last of all, everyone is going to die and where we go

afterwards, no one knows.

This is a pretty sad outlook on life. However, praise God that the exact oppo-

site of all this bad news is true. Today, Jesus has risen from the dead. We

have the Good news. We have hope, joy, faith, love, and happiness. Jesus is

the way, truth, and the life. Had he not risen, none of his teaching would be

true. However, he did rise. And we have so much to be happy about. For-

giveness is given. We are freely given the love of God. Nothing can hurt us

and we should not be afraid. We are never alone; Jesus is always with us.

We have meaning in our lives. And last but most importantly, death is con-

quered and each of us can live forever. Let the infectious joy of this day fill

you and may you share with all those you love, the hope and joy we have as

Christians. Happy Easter.

Grieving loss from suicide - April 16-May 21,

Tuesdays, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. at Catholic Family

fusion and the painful reactions are significant topics of the program. This is
