show possession or relationship to one person. In the plural an apostrophe alone is added after the
–s ending.In Spanish:
The word de is used to show possession or relationship.
De is used with singular and plural nouns.Example:
English: My dad’s brother is my uncle.Spanish: El hermano de mi padre es mi tío.
Direct translation: The brother of my father is my uncle.

The same word is used to mean his and her (su) and their (sus). The context usually makes the meaning clear.
The root of a possessive adjective refers to the owner, the ending must agree in number and in gender with the noun that comes after it.
mi / mis = mytu / tus = your
su / sus = his, her, theirnuestro/a, nuestros/as = ourvuestro/a, vuestros/as = your
