La curiosité ; the curiosity is the present for the human. People are naturally drawn something unfamiliar.
As technology advances, everything seems readily available on the small screen. However, the physical experience always has the larger impact on us.
A cactus is the least plants that can grow in anywhere in Canada. The visitors are set in a place where its exposed to unusual-ness and this garden evokes the playfulness within the space. It is a playground where visitors are encouraged to captivated by the foreign environment, be a kid, and be amazed.
The Saguaro Cactus-like wooden structure in the middle is a hollow cactus sculpture made with a series of the vertical wooden pole. It has numbers of small windows that allow light penetration. Its randomness re-sembles spike of the Cactus and becomes a little wicket that answers the curiosity on what is happening on the other side of the universe.
White gravels surrounds the wooden struc-ture to accentuate its boldness and draw visitors attention. The rest of the garden is covered with desert-like yellow gravels and messed with groundcovers for natural-ized desert-like atmosphere. 1:100 scale
