Who's Who in the Play ...

HONORE RONAN, who portrays the heiress, CatherineSloper, has a glittering collection of leading roles in her scrap-book, most recent being her "Katy"-winning performance in lastseason's finale, "The Glass Menagerie." ... CARL GORDON grewhis own facial "adornment" for the role of Dr. Austin Sloper, theheiress' father. Carl, who is portraying his most important char-acterization after a number of supporting roles in Red tvfask, isused to the title of "doctor"; in real life, he's a dentist ... Also adentist is KENNETH TOY, cast as' Morris Townsend, handsomefortune-seeker. Since Ken appeared as "John'''of "John Loves Mary"last fall, he has the distinction of important roles in both openingand closing plays of the season.

Lavinia Penniman, whose gushing sentimentality is a brightthread in the sometime somber tapestry of emotions, is played byLUCINDA BUTLER, an Award of Merit winner from last year's"Curious Savage." ... The role of Mrs. Montgomery, who makesa brief but important appearance, is taken by MARY SHEHNOCKwho, as Mary Brandt, was in the casts of two Hed Mask hits offormer years, "Blithe Spirit" an~ "My Sister Eileen." In privatelife, Mary has a double role of registered nurse and homemaker... Newcomers to Hed Mask are ALICE KIHBY, who had LittleTheater experience in her native) _SouthCarolina, cast as ElizabethAlmond; BONNIE JEAN FLEMING, mother of four boys whosomehow has found the time to ~llakeher bow as .rvIm"ianAlmond;MARGUERITE WALTERS, Pride of new Hed Mask members,Mr. and NlrS.
