OUR BISHOP SPEAKSHOW TO FACE LIFE?

Respected and dear brother-priests, religious and laity,

St Philip Neri felt very unworthy to be a priest. To make himself worthyof his call he prayed for hours without stop.

St John Vianney prayed all night prostrating on the ground.

Prayer is a constant struggle. Often we may sight distractions allaround and experience dark night of the soul.

During the hour of trials we have to become just like Job and believethat God is with us and he loves us definitely no matter how terriblewe feel.

When we face contradictions and mysteries in life, we must opt fordeep silence and in silence the Spirit of God will work.

God's work will never produce anything that is negative.

When we pray for patience God may send us tribulations that wemay learn to be patient.

When we pray for joy God may send us suffering to teach us how toface suffering.

When we pray for generosity God may send us losses to createopportunities to sacrifice.

God will never do harm to us. He always remains a merciful Father.Therefore with all hope we can turn our eyes towards him in prayer.When God comes into our lives everything will become beautiful.

Someone asked Leith Anderson, "If you could say onesentence to a secular audience, what would you say?" Heanswered, "You matter to God."
