Safety instructions

Installation

Warning! Only a qualifiedperson must install thisappliance.

• Remove all the packaging.• Do not install or use a damaged

appliance.• Follow the installation instruction

supplied with the appliance.• Always take care when moving the

appliance as it is heavy. Always usesafety gloves and enclosed footwear.

• Do not pull the appliance by the handle.• Keep the minimum distance from the

other appliances and units.• Make sure that the appliance is installed

below and adjacent safe structures.• The sides of the appliance must stay

adjacent to appliances or to units withthe same height.

Electrical connection

Warning! Risk of fire andelectrical shock.

• All electrical connections should be madeby a qualified electrician.

• The appliance must be earthed.• Make sure that the electrical information

on the rating plate agrees with thepower supply. If not, contact anelectrician.

• Always use a correctly installedshockproof socket.

• Do not use multi-plug adapters andextension cables.

• Make sure not to cause damage to themains plug and to the mains cable.Should the mains cable need to bereplaced, this must be carried out by ourAuthorised Service Centre.

• Do not let mains cables touch or comenear the appliance door, especiallywhen the door is hot.

• The shock protection of live andinsulated parts must be fastened in sucha way that it cannot be removed withouttools.

• Connect the mains plug to the mainssocket only at the end of the installation.Make sure that there is access to themains plug after the installation.

• If the mains socket is loose, do notconnect the mains plug.

• Do not pull the mains cable to disconnectthe appliance. Always pull the mainsplug.

• Use only correct isolation devices: lineprotecting cut-outs, fuses (screw typefuses removed from the holder), earthleakage trips and contactors.

• The electrical installation must have anisolation device which lets you disconnectthe appliance from the mains at all poles.The isolation device must have a contactopening width of minimum 3 mm.

Steam Cooking

Care and Cleaning

Initial CleaningRemove all accessories and removable shelfsupports from the appliance.

First ConnectionWhen you connect the appliance to themains or after the power cut, you have toset the language, the display contrast, thedisplay brightness and the time of the day.

Accessories can become hotter than usual.The appliance can emit an odour andsmoke. This is normal. Make sure that theairflow in the room is sufficient.

Using the Mechanical child lockThe appliance has the child lock installedand activated. It is below the control panelon the right side.To open the oven door with the child lockinstalled, pull the child lock handle up asshown in the picture.

Close the oven door without pulling thechild lock.To remove the child lock, open the ovendoor and remove the child lock with the torxkey. The torx key is in the oven fitting bag.Screw back the screw into the hole afterremoving the child lock.

Heating function ApplicationFull Steam For vegetables, fish, potatoes, rice, pasta or spe-

cial side-dishes.

Half Steam + Heat For dishes with a high moisture content and forpoaching fish, custard royale and terrines.

Quarter Steam + Heat To bake bread, roast large pieces of meat or towarm up chilled and frozen meals.

ECO Steam The ECO functions let you optimize the energyconsumption during cooking. It is necessary to setthe cooking time first. To get more informationabout the recommended settings, refer to thesteam cooking tables in the recipe book.

Steam Regenerating Food reheating with steam prevents surface dry-ing. Heat is distributed a gentle and even way,which allows to recover taste and aroma of foodas just prepared. This function can be used to re-heat food directly on a plate. You can reheatmore than one plate at the same time, using dif-ferent shelf positions.

True Fan Cooking To bake on up to two shelf positions at the sametime and to dry food. Set the temperature 20 - 40°C lower than for the function: ConventionalCooking.

Conventional Cooking To bake and roast food on one shelf position.

Pizza Setting To bake food on one shelf position for a more in-tensive browning and a crispy bottom. Set thetemperature 20 - 40 °C lower than for the func-tion: Conventional Cooking.

Slow Cooking To prepare tender, succulent roasts.

Bottom Heat To bake cakes with crispy bottom and to preservefood.

Heating function ApplicationMoist Fan Baking To prepare baked goods in tin on one shelf posi-

tion. To save energy during cooking. This functionmust be used in accordance with the cooking ta-bles in order to achieve the desired cooking re-sult. To get more information about the recom-mended settings, refer to the cooking tables.

ECO Roasting The ECO functions let you optimize the energyconsumption during cooking. It is necessary to setthe cooking time first. To get more informationabout the recommended settings, refer to theroasting tables in the recipe book.

Frozen Foods To make convenience food like e.g. french fries,potato wedges or spring rolls crispy.

Grilling To grill flat food and to toast bread.

Fast Grilling To grill flat food in large quantities and to toastbread.

Turbo Grilling To roast larger meat joints or poultry with boneson one shelf position. Also to make gratins and tobrown.

The lamp may automaticallydeactivate at a temperaturebelow 60 °C during some ovenfunctions.

Defrost This function can be used for defrosting frozenfoods, such as vegetables and fruits. The defrost-ing time depends on the amount and size of thefrozen food.

Activating a heating function1. Activate the appliance.2. Select the menu: Heating Functions.3. Press to confirm.4. Select a heating function.5. Press to confirm.6. Set the temperature.7. Press to confirm.

Steam cookingThe water drawer cover is in the controlpanel.

Warning! Do not put waterdirectly into the steam generator.Use only water. Do not usefiltered (demineralised) ordistilled water. Do not use otherliquids. Do not put flammable oralcoholic liquids into the waterdrawer.

1. Prepare the food in the correctcookware.

2. Press the cover of the water drawer toopen it.

3. Fill the water drawer with 800 ml ofwater.The water supply is sufficient forapproximately 50 minutes.

Do not overfill the waterdrawer.There is no indication that thewater drawer is full, apartfrom the bottom steamgenerator.

4. Push the water drawer to its initialposition.

5. Activate the appliance.6. Select a steam heating function and the

temperature.7. If necessary, set the function Duration

or End Time .The first steam shows afterapproximately 2 minutes. An acousticsignal sounds when the appliance is atapproximately the set temperature.

When the steam generator isempty, an acoustic signal sounds.

The signal sounds at the end of the cookingtime.8. Deactivate the appliance.9. Empty the water drawer after the steam

cooking is completed. Caution! The appliance ishot. There is a risk of burns.Be careful when you emptythe water drawer.

When the appliance cools down, soak upall remaining water from the steamgenerator with the sponge. If necessary,clean the steam generator with somevinegar. Let the appliance dry fully with thedoor open.

Heat-up indicatorWhen you activate a heating function, thebar on the display comes on. The bar shows

that the temperature increases. Whentemperature is reached the buzzer sounds 3times and the bar flashes and thendisappears.

Fast Heat Up IndicatorThis function decreases the heat-up time.

Do not put food in the oven whenthe Fast heat up functionoperates.

To activate the function, hold for 3seconds. The heat-up indicator alternates.

Residual heatWhen you deactivate the appliance, thedisplay shows the residual heat. You canuse the heat to keep the food warm.

Clock function ApplicationMinute Minder To set a countdown (max. 2 h 30 min). This

function has no effect on the operation of theappliance.Use to activate the function. Press or to set the minutes and to start.

Duration To set the length of an operation (max. 23 h59 min).

End Time To set the switch-off time for a heating func-tion (max. 23 h 59 min).

If you set the time for a clock function, thetime starts to count down after 5 seconds.

If you use the clock functions:Duration, End Time, theappliance deactivates theheating elements after 90 % ofthe set time. The appliance usesthe residual heat to continue thecooking process until the timeends (3 - 20 minutes).

Setting the clock functions

Before you use the functions:Duration, End Time, you must seta heating function andtemperature first. The appliancedeactivates automatically.You can use the functions:Duration and End Time at thesame time if you want toautomatically activate anddeactivate the appliance on agiven time later.The functions: Duration and EndTime do not work when you usethe core temperature sensor.

1. Set a heating function.2. Press again and again until the

display shows the necessary clockfunction and the related symbol.

3. Press or to set the necessary time.4. Press to confirm.When the time ends, an acoustic signalsounds. The appliance deactivates. Thedisplay shows a message.5. Press any symbol to stop the signal.

Heat + HoldConditions for the function:

• The set temperature is more than 80 °C.• The function: Duration is set.The function: Heat + Hold keeps preparedfood warm at 80 °C for 30 minutes. Itactivates after the baking or roastingprocedure ends.You can activate or deactivate the functionin the menu: Basic Settings.1. Activate the appliance.2. Select the heating function.3. Set the temperature above 80 °C.4. Press again and again until the

display shows: Heat + Hold.5. Press to confirm.When the function ends, an acoustic signalsounds.The function stays on if you change theheating functions.

Time ExtensionThe function: Time Extension makes theheating function continue after the end ofDuration.

Applicable to all heatingfunctions with Duration or WeightAutomatic.Not applicable to heatingfunctions with the coretemperature sensor.

Core temperature sensorThere are two temperatures to be set: theoven temperature and the coretemperature.The core temperature sensor measures thecore temperature of the meat. When themeat is at the set temperature, theappliance deactivates.

The core temperature sensormust stay in the meat and in thesocket during the cooking.

Brightness of the displayThere are two modes of display brightness:• Night brightness - when the appliance is

Hints and tips

General information• Whenever preheating, remove the wire

shelves and trays from the cavity to havethe fastest performance.

• The appliance has four shelf positions.Count the shelf positions from the bottomof the appliance floor.

• The appliance has a special systemwhich circulates the air and constantlyrecycles the steam. With this system youcan cook in a steamy environment andkeep the food soft inside and crustyoutside. It decreases the cooking timeand energy consumption to a minimum.

• Moisture can condense in the applianceor on the door glass panels. This isnormal. Always stand back from theappliance when you open the appliancedoor while cooking. If you noticemoisture inside of the oven, keep thedoor open for a couple of minutes.

• Clean the moisture after each use of theappliance.

• Do not put the objects directly on theappliance floor and do not putaluminium foil on the components whenyou cook. This can change the bakingresults and cause damage to the enamel.

Baking cakes• Do not open the oven door before 3/4 of

the set cooking time is up.• If you use two baking trays at the same

time, keep one empty level betweenthem.

Cooking meat and fish• Use a deep pan for very fatty food to

prevent the oven from stains that can bepermanent.

• Leave the meat for approximately 15minutes before carving so that the juicedoes not seep out.

• To prevent too much smoke in the ovenduring roasting, add some water into thedeep pan. To prevent the smokecondensation, add water each time afterit dries up.

Stainless steel or aluminium appliances

Clean the oven door with adamp cloth or sponge only. Dry itwith a soft cloth.Do not use steel wool, acids orabrasive materials as they candamage the oven surface. Cleanthe oven control panel with thesame precautions.

Cleaning the door gasket• Regularly do a check of the door gasket.

The door gasket is around the frame ofthe oven cavity. Do not use theappliance if the door gasket isdamaged. Contact the Service.

• To clean the door gasket, use a soft clothwith warm water and a cleaning agent.

Removing the shelf supportsBefore maintenance, make sure that theappliance is cool. There is a risk of burns.To clean the appliance, remove the shelfsupports.1. Pull carefully the supports up and out of

the front catch.

Steam CleaningRemove the worst dirt manually.1. Put 250 ml of water with 3 tablespoons

2. Activate the function: Steam Cleaning.The display shows the duration of thefunction. An acoustic signal sounds whenthe programme is completed.3. Touch any symbol to deactivate the

signal.4. Wipe out the appliance with a soft cloth.

Remove the water from the steamgenerator.

Keep the appliance door open forapproximately 1 hour. Wait until theappliance is dry. To speed up the dryingyou can heat up the appliance with hot airat temperature 150 °C for approximately15 minutes.

Steam generation system

Caution! Dry the steamgenerator after each use.Remove the water with thesponge.

Remove the limescale with waterand vinegar.

Caution! Chemical de-scalingagents can cause damage to theenamel. Follow the instructions ofthe manufacturer.

1. To clean the water drawer and thesteam generator, put the water andvinegar mixture (approximately 250 ml)through the water drawer into the steamgenerator. Wait for approximately 10minutes.

2. Remove the water and vinegar with thesponge.

3. Put clean water (100 - 200 ml) into thewater drawer to flush the steamgeneration system.

Removing and installing the doorThe oven door has three glass panels.Youcan remove the oven door and the internalglass panels to clean them.

The oven door can close if youtry to remove the glass panelsbefore you remove the ovendoor.

Caution! Do not use theappliance without the glasspanels.

1. Open the door fully.2. Fully press the clamping levers (A) on

the two door hinges.

3. Close the oven door to the first openingposition (approximately 70° angle).

4. Hold the door with one hand on eachside and pull it away from the applianceat an upwards angle.

5. Put the door with the outer side downon a soft cloth on a stable surface. Thisis to prevent scratches.

6. Hold the door trim on the top edge ofthe door at the two sides and pushinwards to release the clip seal.

7. Pull the door trim to the front to removeit.

8. Hold the door glass panels on their topedge one by one and pull them up outof the guide.

9. Clean the glass panel with water andsoap. Dry the glass panel carefully.

When the cleaning is completed, install theglass panels and the oven door. Do theabove steps in the opposite sequence.Make sure that you put the glass panels (Aand B) back in the correct sequence. Thefirst panel (A) has a decorative frame. Thescreen-printing zone must face the innerside of the door. Make sure that after theinstallation the surface of the glass panelframe (A) on the screen-printing zones isnot rough when you touch it.

Replacing the lampPut a cloth on the bottom of the interior ofthe appliance. It prevents damage to thelamp glass cover and the cavity.
