Study module

Study programme is made of study modules that are taught for one semester. A study module may include various combinations of lectures, laboratory work, practice, seminars, the student’s individual work, scientific research, design work or other type of work.Study modules may be mandatory, alternative (selected from a list), gen-eral and optional (from the list of all University modules). Studies of each module are completed by an evaluation of the students-knowledge and skills – an examination or a different form of final assessment.

Assessment system

University measures students’ results by in-termediate assessments. Final grade is the sum of the results of intermedi-ate assessments and the final assessment.A student is allowed to participate in the final assessment only if all in-termediate assessments were submitted.

Study credit

Study workload is measured in study credits. Study credit is a unit for assessing study results and student’s working time. 1,600 hours of one year of studies correspond to 60 credits. One study credit is equal to one credit of European credit transfer and accumulation system (ECTS).

Organisation of studies
