KSU VPN Client Installation for Windows 10
The following describes how to install the GlobalProtect app to connect to the KSU network from off-campus
using a VPN connection on a Windows 10 machine.
Configuring Your Off Campus PC or Laptop
Determining the Correct Agent to Download
1. In the Windows 10 taskbar, click the Start menu.

2. Click Settings.

3. The Windows Settings window will appear. Click System.

4. The System window will appear. Click About (See Figure 4).
5. The About window will appear. Make note of the System type to determine which GlobalProtect agent
to select (e.g., 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor) (See Figure 4).

Installing the GlobalProtect Agent
1. In your preferred browser, navigate to https://vpn.kennesaw.edu/.
2. The Sign In window will appear. Enter your KSU Email Address and password (See Figure 5).
3. Click Sign In (See Figure 5).

4. You will be directed to the Duo Authentication window to verify your identity. Follow the appropriate
steps to provide verification.

5. You will be logged in and the Kennesaw State University VPN window will display a list of available
GlobalProtect agent downloads. Click the download link that matches the system type you identified
above. For example, the screenshot below is selecting the 64-bit agent.

6. The browser will begin to download the file to your computer.

7. Click the downloaded file (e.g. GlobalProtect64.msi) to run the GlobalProtect installation file.

8. The GlobalProtect Setup Wizard window will open to guide you through the installation process.
Click Next.

9. The GlobalProtect Installer will populate a folder location for the installation. Click Next.

10. The GlobalProtect Confirm Installation window will appear. Click Next.

11. The Installer window will notify you when the installation process is complete. Click Close.

12. The GlobalProtect window will appear. Enter the portal address vpn.kennesaw.edu (See Figure 14).
13. Click Connect (See Figure 14).

Note: If the agent panel does not appear, in the Windows10 system tray, click the GlobalProtect Agent Icon.

14. The Sign In window will appear. Enter your KSU Email Address and password (See Figure 15).
15. Click Sign In (See Figure 15).

17. The app will begin the connection process.

18. When successfully connected, the status indicator will change to Connected and the GlobalProtect icon
will change from gray scale to in color.

19. You are now connected to the KSU campus network through the GlobalProtect VPN client.

Disconnecting the VPN Connection
1. To disconnect from the network, double-click the GlobalProtect icon in the system tray.

3. You are disconnected from the VPN when the status indicator changes to Not Connected and the
GlobalProtect icon changes to gray scale.
