‘Koninklijke IGC’

The ‘Koninklijke Industrieele Groote Club’ is an active business club and society established in the monumental ‘Industria’ building on Dam Square. For ages the dynamic heart of capital city Amsterdam. The authentic interior adds to the exclusive, metropolitan atmosphere. You will be surrounded by art and culture by a varied group of people, from business and other sectors of society.

The ‘Koninklijke IGC’ is a flexible partner for the organization of your events, whether it’s a large dinner, a popular networking event or a small meeting. Not only for business you are at the right place. Weddings, anniversaries or any other special occasions will, due to the stylish décor and warmly decorated rooms, finish as a memorable highlight.

Club ‘rules’

The ‘Koninklijke Industrieele Groote Club’ is a special place where some rules apply. Our members expect you and your group to behave as guests with considerate behaviour towards our members and employees.

When you will visit the ‘Koninklijke IGC’, we ask you to take into account that we use a dress code in the club. At the private, first floor we have a dress code for all members and introduces, ‘Tenue de Ville’, a tie is optional till 17.00. Casual clothes (such as jeans, sneakers, etc.) are not permitted.

Opening hours ‘Koninklijke IGC’

The ‘Koninklijke Industrieele Groote Club’ is open for members from Monday to Thursday from 11.00 till 23.00 and on Friday from 11.00 till 15.00. Consult if longer opening hours is an option for your meeting.

On Friday after 15.00, Saturday or Sunday it’s also possible to rent the exclusive club rooms on the first floor (Bar, Clubzaal, Restaurant) for private occasions.

Carel Willink Room

The Carel Willink Room has a nice view at the Rokin. You can have a meeting, lunch or dinner here for up to 6 people. Carel Willink (1900-1983) is considered as the most impor-tant painter of magical realism, this is a style of painting that creates a strange atmosphere trough light, colour, shape and depth.

Foeke Kuipers Room

Right next to the Library of the Club you will find the Foeke Kuipers Room, with stunning views of Dam square. The luxury and comfor-table meeting room can accommodate up to eight people.

Doorman/WardrobeDuring the regular opening hours of the ‘Koninklijke IGC’ there is a always a doorman. After the regular opening hours the ‘Koninklijke IGC’ will charge you an amount for a doorman and maid (overhead costs).

When entering you can leave your coat in the wardrobe, however, the ‘Koninklijke Industrieele Groote Club’ is not responsible for any loss or damage to your belongings.

Announcement screenAt the screen in the lobby of the ‘Koninklijke IGC’ we can announce the desired text.

Flower DecorationsThe ‘Koninklijke IGC’ has good connections with various florists to arrange your table pieces and room decoration.

Air-conditioning and ventilation systemAll rooms at the ‘Koninklijke IGC’ are equipped with air condition and a ventilation system. This makes it possible to always enjoy your meeting, lunch or diner in a good ventilated room.

Uniforme Voorwaarden Horeca (UVH)The Uniform Hospitality Conditions (UVH) are the conditions on which hospitality establishments in the Netherlands, such as hotels, restaurants, bars and related businesses (including catering companies, party service companies, etc.) that provide catering services and catering agreements. The UVH is registered at the District Court and the Chamber of Commerce in The Hague.

How to find us

We know organizing an event takes time. That is why we tried to make it as easy as possible for you when you choose the ‘Koninklijke Industrieele Groote Club’ as your location.

Located in the centre of Amsterdam, the ‘Koninklijke IGC’ is easily to reach by car and public transport. Central Station, the main railway station, is located at ten minute walking distance. There are several parking possibilities near the ‘Koninklijke IGC’.

LocationThe Koninklijke ‘IGC’, located in the centre of Amsterdam is in various ways easily to reach. Central Station is only a ten minute walk, most trams stop in front of the Club and at only five minute walking distance you will find four car parks. A good alternative is taking a taxi, you will find a taxi place near the ‘Koninklijke IGC’.
