Brothers in Christ, Happy New Year and Happy New Decade, To all my brother Knights and their families. I pray the good Lord has surrounded you with His love and blessings this Christmas Season. May He fill your life this coming year with peace and good health! We pray our Council will contin- ue our good works of Charity, Unity, and Fraternity. A big thank you to all involved with this past holiday season’s charitable events. The Coat Drive, Crank’s Creek Shoe Drive and Portsmouth Food Drive were great unselfish acts of giving. Our Pancake Breakfast with Santa was enjoyed by all who attended. Also, much appreciation to our brothers who were involved with our new memorial stone. Once our old stone has completed a refurbishing, we will have a permanent remembrance of all those brothers who have passed. We have many tasks before us the next 2 months. We have a couple events geared to the youth in our community - the Free Throw Contest (1/12) and our Squires Dodgeball Tournament (2/1 & 2). If you have children or grandchildren, PLEASE bring them out to be involved. Our next Pancake Breakfast will be 1/19 and a Council Social 1/22. SAVE THE DATES: 2/8 Wives Appreciation Dinner (invites to be mailed soon) and 2/28 our First Fish Fry. We will need many volunteers to cover all these events. Please do not wait to be contacted. Just let us know when you can help. The more Knights and family members who assist, the more enjoyable the event becomes. Our Knights need to have fellowship with each other. Do not be concerned, if you have never volunteered in past years. We have experienced people to help teach any and all new folks who are interested in our events. Francis has sent out all the dues notices. Please take care of these as soon as possible. If you find yourself in a position of financial hardship (or know of someone), please contact me. Please mark this date on your calendars - Saturday 2/22. This is the day of the 23rd Annual Catholic Men’s Conference. “Men of God Building Virtue - Now is the time to strengthen your faith and join in fellowship while experiencing an event unlike any other”. It begins at 8:00 am and ends at 3:00 pm. Watch for further details. Thank you for all you do for the continuation of the goals of the Knights of Columbus. Good News About Your 2020 Dues

Dear Worthy brothers, It is that time of the year again to renew your annual membership dues.

As your new Financial Secretary for Seton Knights of Columbus Council 11187, it is my job to collect and record financial activities within our chapter

As has been done in years past, your individual dues statement will be mailed to your address of record in December. I have heard that some of the due’s statements seem to get lost or misplaced, thus requiring sometimes 3 or 4 attempts at contacting you.

We have a NEW solution available. You can now pay your dues and annual gimmie five contribution online at www.kofc11187.com either by electronic check or credit card.

Yes, this is for real. It has been said that "change is inevitable, but growth is optional". We are responding to the request from many of our current and prospective members about an electronic solution for payment.

The dues button is on the home page of our website. Simply one click at www.kofc11187.com and you have started the process. Check it out for yourself.

It really is very simple to do. It took me 7 and 1/2 minutes to pay my 2020 dues of $30 and to contribute $5 to the “Gimmie Five” charitable program. That was with 2 failed attempts (do not pick the debit option as I did) and having to locate my membership number on my membership card. Basically, even by not being very prepared I managed to do this in under ten minutes. You should too. You will spend more time trying to find your checkbook, an envelope, and a first-class stamp. We have tried to make it simple by having the option of a button that shows $35 for both the dues and the “Gimmie Five.” If you would like to contribute a different amount, simply type the desired amount into the space below the $35 button.

If you need help, please call me personally and I will walk you through the process. By doing this you will not only save yourself time and the cost of checks and postage but will also save the Council dollars going for postage, envelopes, toner ink, phone calls, emails, and valuable time.

And yes, you can do it now to save me the initial December mailing. Our website is www.kofc11187.com.

Thank you for your prompt attention to this small but important renewal of your Knights of Columbus Council 11187 2020 dues.

Fraternally,

Francis Wilamosky, DC Financial Secretary
