DESCRIPTION
What is the management of knowledge, and it helps in survival, and occasional prosperity? If we observe the organization as a collection of individuals, than it is clear that they, if we neglect them, will be occupied only with their individual works. Thus, duty of the higher management is to initiate and invigorate employees to achieve general goals – strategic goals of organization through mutual co-operation. This incorporates exchange of information and knowledge. With development of IT there is possibility of access to new technologies, and with this to new information and greater possibilities for exchange (Internet, Knowledge Bases, etc.). Thus, treatment of knowledge management, as possibility for deduction of competitive advantages, and strategy, is imminent. Effective knowledge management, besides demanding conditions for optimal development and application of the knowledge of employees, provides support for business strategy, and enables transformation, all in service to optimal accommodation to conditions on the market and situation in new surrounding.That is why it is necessary for each organization which intends to make progress and become competitive on market, recognize its needs (SWOT analyze), and to build information system for knowledge management, and define processes and methods for creation and transfer of knowledge, and also measuring models and control of performances.TRANSCRIPT
