Introduction- The aim of this project is to help the students to be able to
understand the physical and cultural similarities and dissimilarities of the
neighbouring countries of India. (Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal)
Physical Aspects-Area, Weather, Location, Natural resources, Type of Soil
Cultural Characteristics-Religion, Languages Spoken, Festivals and Occupation
Knowledge-Understand the Physical and Cultural Similarities and Distinctions
of the chosen neighbouring Countries.
Skills- Enhance their thinking & communication skills.
Attitude-Express humanitarian and empathetic values for the people of
chosen countries.
Search information on Internet, Magazines and Newspapers about the
neighbouring countries of India.
Read and study about physical aspects and cultural characteristics of chosen
countries.
Made Charts and also create model on Physical aspects and cultural
characteristics of chosen countries.
Students also presented it in groups.
Teachers and parent’s made an E-Report at the end of the activity.

Similarities among the countries-
In the four countries natural resources like minerals, forest, natural gas and
silica are similar.
Flood plain soil, hill soil, red and alluvial soil are common soils in these
countries.
Weather seasons are common in these countries.
Hindu, Islam and Christian are common religion in these countries.
Languages like Hindi, English are spoken in these countries.
In Occupation agriculture practices are common trade and business is
common.
Festivals like Eid-ul-Fitar and Christmas are common in these countries
Comparative study of concerned countries shows that a lot of
things are common among them. Their religion, festivals,
profession, languages, mineral, resources are similar. Spirit of
devotion is prevailing in each religion. They give message of
humanity and kindness. If we talk about occupation it is same even
in the world. Agriculture is everywhere. Instead of it trade and
business are also common. Similarities in languages expect an
official language is one of the striking notes. Hindi, English these
two languages are common in these countries. English has become
an international language. Geographically there is similarity in
their soil, forest etc. there desert and coastal areas are common.
Some of whether conditions are not common.
After comparative study of given countries it can be said that this
activity provide a lot of knowledge to a simple play way method.
Students learnt how we are similar with our neighbours country. It
will enhance the thinking of students and promote dignity and

respect for each country. Linguistically, on the basis of religion
festival, occupation we find similarities between each other. This
will inculcate spirit of globalization among student. It will promote
wide range of thinking of students. It will give us a chance to read
deeply about the concerned countries which will make us orator of
knowledge. In short it will be beneficiary for all around
development of students.
In conclusion we can say such activities are the best way of
learning. Student’s communication skill can be improved. One
another striking note that it will help to create an optimistic
attitude. This activity helps the students in their productive and
critical thinking. It gives ample opportunities to learn at worldly
level.
