Grand Knight’s Letter

Dear Brother Knights, spouses and social club members:

Our council held a Second and Third Degree on Sunday October 2, 2011 at which over 70 new Knights became Third

Degree members. Our council welcomed seven new Knights to this Degree: Charles Shipley, Eddie Perkins, Matthew

Latimer, Alexander Carroll, Mark Fasbinder, Eric Smith and Matthew Seib. Welcome gentlemen.

Last month at the Realty Board Annual Meeting the membership elected Charles Feeney, Bill Kurker, Al Hirt, John

Kohlbacher, Mike Jones and Rich Shreve to the board. Congratulations to our new Realty Board members.

The November Council Business meeting will be Monday November 7 at 7:30pm

Our next Breakfast for Charity will be on Sunday November, 13. Bring the family for a good breakfast. The proceeds

go to Hollis Adams.

Our annual Memorial Mass for fallen Knights will be Monday November 14 at 7pm. Our Chaplin, Father Rob will cel-

ebrate Mass and the Chatard High School Student Choir will sing the liturgy. All are invited to this moving ceremony

in remembrance of our deceased Knights.

We have a First Degree initiation on Monday November 21. Please recruit a Northside Catholic gentleman to join our

Council and come to the ceremony.

Mark your calendar for our annual Knights Night Out on Monday December 12 in the ballroom. You will receive an

invitation to this, members and prospective members’ only, social event in early December with your annual dues

statement. We will have a corn hole tournament, cards, refreshments and watch Monday night football on the big

screens. All Knights that have paid their 2012 dues by this event will be entered into a special raffle that evening.

Our annual North Deanery Catholic School Teacher Appreciation Night is to be held on Friday January 27, 2012. Tom

Clark has agreed to chair this event. More details to come.

I hope to see you soon at one of our council or club events. Stop by and see all the great things that are happening at

Council 3433 and the Northside K of C Social Club.

Sincerely,

Kevin Hahn, GK

PRESIDENT’S LETTER

Greetings Knights and Social Club Members:

Come and see what is going on at the Knights of Columbus. For those that did not attend The Knights of Co-

lumbus Oktoberfest was a great success. It was an evening of fun and fellowship for all. I would like to take

this opportunity to give a special thanks to the sponsors of this event: Wenclewicz Insurance, Rainbow Realty

Group, Cyberian Technologies, Ryan Fire Protection, and Party Time Rental for their generous contributions

which made the event possible.

ELECTION RESULTS – Following our annual meeting and board elections I would like to welcome the

newest members of our board and congratulate those that were re-elected.

Mike Jones Al Hirt

Rich Shreve John Kohlbacher

Bill Kurker Charlie Feeney

Thank you for all that participated in this process and for those that were not re-elected; I thank you in ad-

vance for your continued support and guidance in regard to club operations.

PROGRAMMING - Our fall programming is in full swing offering a variety of different club events for the

whole family. Several highlighted events in the month of November include the following:

COLTS AWAY GAME TAILGATE PARTIES – While things look bleak for our COLTS it is times like

now when they need our support the most. When the Colts are home it is understandable that people go

downtown, but be it home or away game it is a good time to make yourself at Home at the Knights of Colum-

bus to enjoy the games.

BREAKFAST FOR CHARITY – ALSO Sunday November 13, 2011, the council will host its monthly

breakfast for charity between 8:30 and 12:30. The men of the council work very hard each month by donating

their time and efforts to raise money for various community charitable concerns donating thousands of dollars

this year. So come out and support your local charities.

THANK YOU, to all who have submitted photographs for our website they have helped greatly but we are

still looking for more. Please submit any photos you have of club events and or functions that were held at the

facility be it a wedding, corporate meeting, or simply watching a game with friends to submit those for posting

on the site. Sponsorship and advertising opportunities will also be available in the new format. Contact

me for more details.

Suggestions, concerns, or inquiries can be directed to me by email at [email protected] or by phone

at (317) 496-6800.
