About the Author

Georgia Perez has worked in diabetes education and community health at the University of New Mexico and Nambe Pueblo, respectively. In her “Eagle Books” series, a wise eagle assumes the role of Tribal Elder in the time-honored Native American tradition of using storytelling to pass on tribal culture and to teach lessons of life.

About the Illustrators

Patrick Rolo, Bad River Band of Ojibwe, draws from his rich Native American heritage to co-illustrate the books.

Lisa A. Fifield, Oneida Tribe of Wisconsin, Black bear Clan, uses time-honored Native American tales and beliefs as the inspiration for her work.
