OUTDOOR POOL IN KLOTEN

During the renovation of the outdoor pool in Kloten ( Switzerland ), the idea

of a unique construction, the Rocket Tower, triumphed. The new attraction

includes two children’s slides and a combined tube slide and water slide over

100 m long with lots of special effects.

Klarer Freizeitanlagen AG is considered to be a pioneer within the industry for

the development and thematization of water slides for a reason. This year, the

first two standing slides in the world were opened in AquaMagis in Plettenberg.

Media interest was huge and the first guests were visibly excited. The Green

Viper, the first elaborately thematic adventure slide with its many attractions

and effects, opened in Europabad in Karlsruhe. Another feature: The Green Viper

was created in close collaboration with water slide fans, who were able to make

decisions about the features of the slide themselves.

In recent years, we have invested a lot of time and energy into the development

of new attractions. This is the only way to develop unique water slides like the

Thunderbird in H2O in Herford with Infinity Jump and impressive LED video

technology. We will also continue to set the bar for innovative concepts and look

forward to many new and exciting projects.

Many doubted its feasibility, but here

she is, the first standing slide in the

world. Known as a pioneer for the

realization of innovative slide con-

cepts, AquaMagis in Plettenberg was

quickly convinced of the crazy idea.

Now two new standing slides have

been added this summer, expanding

the range of slides at the water park

in Nordrhein-Westfalen.

You can learn how surfing works on

the 30 m long SauerlandSURFER in

subdued green. On the 100 m long,

bright orange CrazySURFER, expe-

rienced slide-goers go to dizzying

heights through fast curves and steep

passages. While the beginner’s slide

is located inside, the standing slide

for advanced sliders is outside in the

open through the middle of the water

park.

BY SLIDE FANS FOR SLIDE FANS – THE ELABORATELY THEMATIC ADVENTURE SLIDE WAS FORMED IN

KEEPING WITH THIS MOTTO. THE GREEN VIPER WAS BROUGHT TO LIFE IN COLLABORATION WITH THE

BIGGEST COMMUNITY OF SLIDE FANS.

Over a period of several weeks, the

community of slide fans was able to

discuss, vote on and finally co-decide the

variety of features.

Now it is ready, the new high-tech slide with

its many special effects was opened in Europa-

bad in Karlsruhe. With venom-green eyes, a wide

open mouth and a distinct soundtrack, the Green

Viper awaits its fearless visitors. Thrilling light effects,

an impressive cone with its snake’s head and waterfall, the

unique Europabad jump with PhotoPoint, sensational sound

effects and interactive elements make the Green Viper a special

kind of slide adventure.

THUNDERBIRD

THE SPECIALIST PRESS IS IN AGREEMENT AND DESCRIBES THE THUNDERBIRD AS A «SENSATION »,

«ABSOLUTELY MIND-BLOWING» AND «A NEW GENERATION OF SLIDES».

What has long been known in amusement parks as the Dark Ride has for

the first time been turned into a water slide with the Thunderbird in H2O in

Herford. On the Thunderbird, thrill-seekers can embark on a turbulent journey

by air and under water. The travel route is decided at the starting point : with

Space, Blizzard and Deep Sea, there are three scenarios to choose from, all

guaranteeing a slide adventure never seen before. This is made possible

by a high-tech tube slide equipped with LED video technology which is

unmatched across the world. The Infinity Jump ensures a special thrill which

keeps the bathers in suspense via an optical illusion. Spectacular sound

effects, breath-taking video sequences and gripping adventures await fearless

bathers in the Thunderbird.

FAKE SLIDE

The Fake Slide is a slide component which convinces the bather that the

slide is going straight forward when it is actually moving in a curve. The Fake

Slide is used like a normal curve component while a Perspex pane reveals the

slide’s straight path. Alongside the effect of the optical illusion, various addi-

tional effects can be built into the fake component.TO INFINITY . . . AND BEYOND !

INFINITY JUMP

The Infinity Jump is an additional attraction for tube slides which is equipped

with a built-in jump, i. e. a section with a steep slope. The user is led to believe

that the tube slide continues on the same slope. The optical illusion is added

to the upper edge of the element and displays a straight progression of the

tube slide. However, the actual route runs underneath the optical illusion and

thereby creates an unexpected surprise effect.

STORMCHASER

Another new development is the Stormchaser. The first wind slide in the

world can be used as a tire and mat slide. Streams of air with airspeeds of up

to 80 km/h are produced at different points in the tube slide via axial fans.

The Stormchaser is designed in such a way that the bather is driven forward

purely by wind power and independently from the slope.

Magic Twice is the latest racer from the house of Klarer. We have

developed Magic Twice in order to meet the desire for a two-lane

race slide. As the only race slide on the market, Magic Twice

enables direct eye contact with the opponent. The partition

between the two lanes is transparent, making safe and at the

same time thrilling contests possible.
