Guest Speaker: Captain Frank Mancini, District 7 Police Department Guest Speaker Captain Frank Mancini spoke about his lengthy career as a Boston Police Officer, his ties to East Boston, and the outlook for crime prevention and safety in the community. Bicycle Safety Rodeo –SATURDAY May 15 th . Thank you to all the East Boston Kiwanis members who participated – we had a successful event which could not happen without you! Special thanks to Michael Nicastro of the East Boston Neighborhood Health Center. “K” Trust Scholarship Dinner - Tuesday May 18 th Twenty one East Boston students received over $20,000 in Scholarships this year. Thank you to all the members who attended. Phil Freehan, President of “K-Trust will make his official report at the Tuesday June 1 st evening meeting. Board Meeting – our next Board meeting will take place at 7:30 on Tuesday June 1 st , after our regular meeting. July 25 (Sunday) – “Foxwoods” Fundraiser to benefit New England Foundation/KPTI. Please call Buddy Mangini or Rosalie Petralia to participate. Flier attached. August – Annual Kiwanis Senior Picnic is being planned by Buddy Mangini, George Gambale and Rosalie Petralia.
