MARINE&COMMERCE EYLÜL 2014 055 C YE Petrol is listed within the top biggest 500 companies in Turkey as per the study of Fortune Magazine. Listed as 400 th company, 222 nd company in Istanbul, it is the 26 th most efficient company, 17 th biggest petroleum company within the top 500. M/T BEYKOZ-E, the new generation bunker barge of the company is the first and the only next generation tanker which started to deliver bunker fuel at Turkish ports featuring the CMFM (Coriolis Mass Flow Meter) technology. CMFM is a technology that can measure mass-volume flow, temperature, and intensity and saves approximately three hours during fuel supply. The mass flow meters, the use of which was made compulsory in Singapore as from 2017, are considered very long lasting due to the fact that they do not contain moving parts that need periodical maintenance and calibration. No external intervention is possible to these high technology counters, which operate in a closed circuit setting. Determining the instantaneous quantity as per the temperature and intensity of the product during replenishment, the device provides a detail report of the entire replenishment at the end of the transaction. The report contains the net bunker product replenishment delivered to the ship. Upon completion of the trials, using the aforementioned technology M/T BEYKOZ-E first replenished the M/V IBRAHIM DEDE container ship of Turkon at Kumport Port at Ambarl›, Istanbul. Emphasizing that they targeted to establish their perfect replenishment and high quality approach using the foregoing and similar technologies, Deniz Erayd›n, General Manager of CYE Petrol said that they would be using the Emerson Coriolis Mass Flow Meters in all their bunker badges within 18 months. The main port of CostaCelebration ship of the companywas announced to be Istanbulas of April 2015. According toSaltuk A. This cruiservoyage will sail off Turkey andthat bringing togetherthousands of rich cruiserpassengers in Istanbul willmake an incredible contributionin Turkish tourism. The factthat the ships will stayovernight and two days inIstanbul means the time andforeign exchange to be spent bythe passengers in Istanbul. It isreported that annually 60 to 65thousand passengers take acruise voyage from Turkey, our

target is to increase this figureto 80 to 100 thousandpassengers.”

Underlining the fact thataverage length of the cruiserships is 300 meters, Kocabaflindicated that the majorproblem was the insufficiency ofthe currently used Salipazariport in Istanbul: “The portinsufficiency that thepassengers encounter while theyland to Istanbul is not good forthe image of Turkey. This portfails to meet the needs despitethe ever increasing tourismpotential of Turkey. There areprojects but none of them is atthe phase of construction.”
