ApplicationsTopdek KS1000 TD is a single component, factory pre-engineered roof deck, comprising a high performance single-ply PVC membrane with insulation and a trapezoidal steel deck, which is suitable for flat and pitched roofs above 1:80 (0.72°) after deflection.

It is also suitable for curved roof applications with a convex curve (45m radius) and concave curve (50m radius).

Insulation CoreTopdek insulated roof panels are manufactured with an ECOsafe and FIREsafe polyisocyanurate (PIR) core.

FireThe external and internal faces of the panel to be Class 0 in accordance with the Building Regulations when tested to BS 476: Part 6: 2009 and Part 7: 1997. The panel is rated FAA or FAC (depending on membrane used) when tested to BS 476: Part 3: 2004.

Topdek insulated roof panels have a Thermal Transmittance (U value) calculated using the method required by the Building Regulations Part L2 (England & Wales) and Building Standards Section 6 (Scotland).

This FIREsafe system has passed all the requirements of LPS 1181: 2005: Part 1: Issue 3, ceiling lining tests by the Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB) certified to LPS 1181 Grade EXT – B and FM approval to FMRS 4471.

Air LeakageAn air leakage rate of 3m3/hr/m2 at 50Pa or less can be achieved when using Kingspan insulated roof and wall panels.

AcousticThe Topdek insulated roof panel has a single figure weighted sound reduction Rw = 23dB.

BiologicalKingspan panels are normally immune to attack from mould, fungi, mildew and vermin. No urea formaldehyde is used in the construction, and the panels are not considered deleterious.

Coatings - Internal Deck

CLEANsafe 15: The coating has been developed for use as the internal lining of insulated panels. Standard colour is ‘bright white’ with an easily cleaned surface.

Kingspan CLEANsafe 120: The coating has been developed for use as the internal lining of insulated panels where a high level of cleanliness and hygiene is required, and the panels are to be cleaned down on a regular basis (minimum order quantities apply).

Stainless Steel: The stainless steel liner has been developed for use as the internal lining of insulated panels in buildings with a very aggressive/corrosive internal environment (minimum order quantities apply).

HandlingThe Topdek insulated roof panel can be manufactured in both left to right handed (LH) and right to left handed (RH).

Quality & DurabilityTopdek insulated roof panels are manufactured from the highest quality materials, using state of the art production equipment to rigorous quality control standards, complying with BS EN ISO 9001 standard, ensuring long term reliability and service life.

The panels are also being manufactured under Environmental Management System Certification BS EN ISO 14001. Compliant to BS OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health and Safety.

PackingTopdek insulated roof panels are stacked weather sheet to weather sheet (to minimise pack height). The top, bottom, sides and ends are protected with foam and timber packing and the entire pack is wrapped in plastic. The number of panels in each pack depends on panel thickness, as shown in the table. Typical pack height is 1100mm.

Sea FreightFully timber crated packs are available on projects requiring delivery by sea freight shipping, at additional costs. Alternatively, steel containers can be used. Special loading charges apply.

DeliveryAll deliveries (unless indicated otherwise) are by road transport to project site. Off-loading is the responsibility of the client.

Installation TrainingKingspan Field Service Engineers offer full installation training however, prior to Kingspan Topdek training, all attendees must have undergone PVC welding training from the supplying membrane manufacturer and provide a copy of the certificate from the supplier, i.e Armourplan, or Trocal.

Kingspan Day-Lite Vault - Introduction

Kingspan Day-Lite Vault, KS1000 DLVLT, is a translucent polycarbonate barrel vault rooflight for flat or low-pitch roofs, that allows high levels of natural light into buildings, providing excellent long-term light transmission, thermal and structural properties.

Kingspan Day-Lite Vault is designed specifically to integrate with our Topdek roof deck, and offers a UV-resistant daylighting system with a U-value of 1.1W/m2K.

Kingspan Day-Lite Vault rooflight systems are supplied with three main components:

Factory assembled unit (FAU);

Barrel vaults;

End caps.

Insulated / non-insulated kerb profiles and associated ancillaries are also required but are not supplied as standard. These items can be ordered and supplied by Kingspan upon request, please contact the Kingspan Technical Services Department for more information.

Features & Benefits U-value of 1.1W/m2K - fully compliant with the appropriate

National Building Regulations.

Excellent light transmission - up to 41% when new, with minimal

deterioration over time, to BS EN 140.

Low Solar Heat Gain Coefficient - limiting local temperature

increases under the rooflight.

High degree of colour fastness means product will not discolour

over a guaranteed period.

The FAU is available in lengths of 6m maximum, and barrel vaults are supplied in 1m lengths. Any specified length can be achieved with a continuous run of FAU, barrel vault and end cap assemblies.

Non-fragility performance - meets the requirements of ACR[M]001: 2014, Class B. Non-fragility compliance over product lifetime significantly reduces the risk of falls to both construction and maintenance personnel.

Note: It is never recommended to allow persons to walk across any rooflight.

Kingspan Day-Lite products fully satisfy the requirements of the National Building Regulations achieving Euro Class B internally and National Class AA and Euro Class BROOF(t4) externally. All products achieve a minimum classification of B-s2,d0 when tested to EN 13501-1: 2007.

ApplicationsDesigned to be an integral part of the Topdek roof deck system, Kingspan Day-Lite Vault is a translucent polycarbonate rooflight offering a standard U-value of 1.1W/m2K.

Kingspan Day-Lite Vault is suitable for all building applications with a flat or pitched roof above 0.72° after deflection, except where the occupants or processes add significant quantities of water to the air, or where there are internal environments with low temperatures. The rooflight system is suitable for use in temperatures of between -10°C and +40°C.

Available LengthsThe FAU is manufactured to order, and is available in lengths of 6m maximum. Barrel vaults are available in 1m lengths. Any specified length can be achieved with a continuous run of FAU, barrel vault and end cap assemblies.
