THE PREZ SEZ Dear KAS members, am so excited about the spring weather and the promise of green grass and blooming flowers! This is my favorite time of year! I really hope to see you at this upcoming meeting at 6:30 pm March 21st We have a lot to cover and a very interesting demo artist featured. Anne Vandagriff will be showing us things we can do to enhance our mats or uses for all those mat pieces we have lying around! I love it when an artist can show us how to use our "leftovers" or present our art in a unique manner. We also will be dedicating a good amount of time discussing any last minute details that need to be worked out about the show. One thing I know for sure is that we need more volunteers, especially for set up on Friday evening and take down on Saturday afternoon. There also is a lot going on in between so Debra Latham will be discussing all the opportunities available for volunteering. We can even set you up with as little as an hour of volunteer time. We want to make it so that everyone can participate so don't be afraid to step up. If you have never worked a show before, the ones who have will be happy to help you along. We need you! I would also like to remind those that have volunteered to donate a small work for the silent auction to have your work ready for the day of the show. The ones who committed are: Jenny Grigg, Gene Hughes, Kristin Dumas, Vanita Doyle, Carmen Weber, Pat Conroy, Debra Latham, Sally Kullman, Randi Barrett, Jennifer Wooley. If for any reason you are not able to participate, please let me know ASAP so we can canvas for a replacement. I would also like to thank Carmen Weber who has generously stepped up to chair the hospitality committee. Unfortunately, I forgot to ask for volunteers to bring refreshments for the March meeting so please, if any of you would be interested in bringing anything, do a "reply all" so that everyone can see who volunteers and then Carmen will be given an opportunity at the meeting to ask for volunteers for the next meeting. Your fellow members will really appreciate it! I will bring cups, plates, napkins, and drinks for this month. Well, that's about it! If I make this any longer you won't read my e-mails any more! I hope to see you at the meeting and until then, "happy painting, collaging, sculpting, or whatever makes you happy"!
