Middle
Mathematics
Today we are going to be learning about the
number 100 because we
are celebrating 100 days of kindergarten.
Practice writing the
number 100 a few times.
Try writing the number in
different rainbow colours.
Colour in 100 marbles on the worksheet attached.
Make them as colourful as
you can!
Challenge time!
have a look around your house and see if you can
collect 100 items. You
might even like to go outside and collect 100
sticks or leaves. You can
even try to build a tower with 100 blocks. Be as
creative as you can!
MASS
Parent Information - New
topic: Mass definition- In everyday life, mass is often
called weight but mass
and weight are not the
same. The weight of an
object changes according to gravity but
its mass remains the same.
e.g. A brick would be weightless in space, even
though it still has the same
mass as on earth.
Complete the worksheet
‘Mass Activity’ below by
circling which picture of an object is heavier.
Choose two objects in
your home and compare which is heavier or lighter
and explain to a family
member.
Can you think of the
number before 10, 5, 12, 4,
19?
Complete the domino
addition worksheet. Add
up all the dots on the dominoes. Look at each
side of the domino and
add them together. For example 6+6= 12. Record
your answer on the line.
MASS
Sometimes we can tell
what is heavier and lighter
by hefting. Hefting is when
you put one object in your
right hand and another in your left hand and
compare to see which
object is heavier.
Choose two different
objects, heft each one by holding one in the right
hand and one in the left
hand. Draw a picture of which one is heavier and
lighter. Do this at least four
different times.
Can you think of the
number that comes after
3, 7, 12, 15, 20?
You might like to use a number line attached to
help you.
Friends of 10- Friends of 10
is where we add 2 numbers together to get
the total amount of 10. For
example 8+2=10 or 9+1=10. Try to make your
own friends of 10.

Creative Arts
Sing the song ‘Old
Macdonald had a farm’ and make up some
dance moves to go with
it.
Look around the house to
find sounds which could represent each animal:
e.g. plastic bag for a
snake; bottom of a saucepan for a pig; run a
pencil or chopstick along
the spine of a folder for a chicken scratching. Don’t
stick to the usual/
expected sound, think adventurously.
