KINDER DAYS SEPTEMBER 2016 LPS Kindergarten celebrated “Teacher’s day” on 5 th September, 2016 with lot of excitement and enthusiasm. The kids were all very eager to wish their teachers. The day began with singing songs and rhymes for their teachers .The students of KG-1 made a wonderful handbag to present their teachers, while the KG-2 students gifted their teacher with wall hangings. Students enjoyed the activity and were happy to design gifts for their teachers. International Rabbit Day was celebrated on September 26 th 2016. Teachers discussed with students about the protection and care of rabbits. While different activities were conducted for KG1 and KG2, the highlight for the day was seeing real rabbits and learning more about them. NATURE WALK To develop a sense of aesthetic appreciation among students, LPS Kindergarten organized a “Nature Walk” on 28 th September, 2016. The kids were all excited to see their surroundings. They compared the size of different plants and were able to understand the difference between plants and trees. They were able to differentiate between a muddy surface and a concrete surface and the difference between a natural thing and man- made thing. A unique experience indeed !! LPS Kindergarten observed the global occasion of ‘World Heart Day’ on September 29 th , 2016 under the banner of “Rich Red Heart Campaign.” The Kindergarten teachers started the day with a lovely morning message and songs based on the importance of exercise, eating healthy and avoiding junk food. The students were taught, how they should be compassionate and caring about others so that they have a clean heart and not possess hatred for others. An activity was conducted to differentiate between a heatlhy heart and an unhealthy heart.. It was wonderful to see the kids enjoying the activity as they understood the motive behind it. KINDER DAYS SEPTEMBER 2016

LPS Kindergarten celebrated “Teacher’s day” on 5th

September, 2016 with lot of excitement and enthusiasm.

The 2nd Term of 2016-17 session began on 28th of August, 2016. The students entered school with smiling faces. We have more to learn, participate and involve in the coming months . Best wishes to all.

Jayanti & World Heart Day’ was

success. Students displayed

their talent and skill with

Teachers’ Day International Day

of Peace

Teachers’ day is celebrated on

September 5, every year to

commemorate the birthday of

Dr. Sarvapalli Ramakrishnan,

former President of India.

Our school celebrated Teacher’s

Day with a lot of enthusiasm and

excitement. The day began with

Morning Assembly, conducted

and organized by the students

for their dear teachers. Students

made cards to show their

gratitude. Students of grades 9-

12 understood the responsibility

of teachers when they took

charge and held the mantle for a

day .

Best wishes to teachers for all

that they do for the school

,especially for students, our

future citizens.

Junior students enjoyed the classes conducted by the senior students Classes were decorated to warmly welcome their dear teachers. Nothing is more rewarding than the respect and love teachers receive from students. Best wishes to our dear students

in all their endeavors.

Heritage

Day

CBSE has recently launched several programs to promote heritage education in schools . Understanding the importance of heritage education ,the primary students have done various activities like Mehendi Designing , Rangoli making, Warli art painting etc . The activity was extended for a week. Students enjoyed doing the activities, as more emphasis was laid on colouring and painting. This wonderful experience enabled students to learn and connect themselves to their past . Students are eagerly looking forward to have more of these enriching classes.

Creativity is a great motivator as it

makes people to develop interest

and passion towards their work.. To

unleash the imagination and

creativity of the students, clay

modeling activity was conducted

during the work education period. All

students from Grade .5

overwhelmingly participated in the

activity. They made beautiful models

of roses, fruits, snowman, dolls

etc.out of clay. The objective of this

activity was to nurture & encourage

students to enhance their artistic

skills.

As a part of celebration, our school

also conducted many activities. In

Grade 4. Students were asked to

write slogans related to the Hindi

language.

When they prepared slogans and

did the activity, they came to know

more about the importance of Hindi

language. They developed among

themselves a proud feeling that they

are all Indians and Hindi is their

National language. The students

enjoyed participating in the slogan writing competition.

The World Heart Day was celebrated on September 29th 2016.

To create awareness on the vital need of having a healthy heart

Senior girls under the banner the Rich Red Heart Campaign made placards with tips for students of Grades 3 to 5.

Juniors were enthralled to see their Seniors, once again as their teachers advising and providing them with essential tips. While the senior students were able to enjoy the experience the juniors equally had fun. Grade 1 &2 had relevant activities related to heart in their classrooms. The day was rich and red for all who leanrt the importance of having a healthy heart.

Hindi Divas (Hindi: हहहहहह हहहह) is celebrated on 14

September every year. It serves to

promote and propagate the Hindi

language. Its importance is

demonstrated by events,

competitions and other services

held on this day. The event also

serves as a patriotic reminder to

Hindi-speaking populations of their

common roots and unity.

Hindi is spoken as a native

language by 500 million people

and is recognized as the 2nd most-

spoken language in the world.

Now there are 22 Scheduled languages in India.

is observed annually on 21st

September.

All schools celebrate this day by

conducting many activities.

Our school conducted a plethora

of activities. Primary students

enjoyed the various activities

conducted throughout the day

in each class. Students prepared

beautiful and meaningful

posters on world peace.

Slogans were written and the

symbol of peace, the doves,

made artistically , gave students

an insight into the true

meaning of peace .

Classroom teaching was

made interesting further

when teachers connected

the theme of peace to

scholastic subjects that

were taught for the day.

Having one is the best blessing.’

Students are back after a long and

enthralling summer vacation.

Hmm! We have come to the end of

our jolly good holidays. The

ambience of the entire school was

warm and welcoming for yet

another exciting term. The initial

days were full of felicity as the

students were relishing the

reunification with their friends

after enjoying their summer

vacation up to the optimum. It was

a great delight to see that most of

the students dutifully fulfilled their

holiday home work and submitted

within the apportioned time frame.

Progression of cherishable events

such as Teachers’ Day,

International Peace Day & World

Heart Day was much looked

forward to as we began the

session.. Last but not the least, one

of our students, Siva Durga,

brought home laurels by winning

People’s Choice Award in “The

Crazy Hat” Contest conducted by

EPDA of Ras Al Khaimah.

Teachers’ Day at LPS is very special in many ways An

assembly was conducted by the members of the Student

Council . Subsequent to the assembly grade VIII to XII

students were delegated the roles of teachers. Activities and

interactive sessions were held. A special celebration awaited

for the teachers the same afternoon after school hours.

Our beloved Principal addressed the teachers and students on

the importance of Teachers day. A talent show by the

teachers for the teachers was organized during the post

school session. Over all it was a splendid event.

It was indeed a great learning experience for students

while for teachers it was a memorable event .

Across the globe, The International Day of Peace, sometimes unofficially known as World Peace Day

is observed habitually on 21st of September. The UN General Assembly has proclaimed this as a day

consecrated to strengthen the ideals of peace, both within and among all nations and people. This

year UN celebrated the day endorsing the theme ‘The Sustainable Development Goals: Building

Blocks for Peace.’

Leaders kept no stones unturned to make the day memorable, as it is one among the most

pertinent and hashed out topics in the modern day.

The day started with a special assembly with our Principal addressing the students and teachers.

Grade VI to VIII students were enthusiastic to participate in the Poem Writing Competition based on

the theme ‘Peace and Harmony.’ Students participated with a lot of excitement, exploring their

creativity and imagination.

The best pieces were displayed for everyone to appreciate, read and know the true meaning of

peace.

A special Yoga Session was organized for the senior students. Students were given tips and shown

different positions in Yoga that can build inner peace. Kudos to all teachers who made the day

enriching, cherisable & memorable.

Achievements are always encouraging and serve as a booster dose to be diligent and hardworking. It was a great pleasure and moment of glory for all of us at LPS ,when Siva Durga of grade VII B won the prestigious People’s Choice award in the Crazy Hat Contest organized by The Environmental Protection and Development Authority (EPDA) of Ras Al Khaimah during the celebration of the International Day for Protection of Ozone. CONGRATS!!

World Heart Federation, observed World Heart Day on 29th September 2016, by reflecting key issues and topics relating to heart health. HE RICH RED HEART campaign was launched to create an awareness on healthy living and having a healthy heart. Senior girls went to the primary classes to spread the message while the boys of Grade XII had discussions on the topic Biotechnology and cardiovascular diseases. The response was overwhelming. Children had conglomerated and participated with vigour and enthusiasm.
