Perfect Hurrah: Surf Trip for Juniors (10-12 Yrs) & Seniors (Teens) this Tues 15th Aug to Bundoran. Suitable for All Levels & Ideal for 1st Timers or Non-Swimmers to venture into the world of Water-Sports and gain water confidence. Transport, Wet-Suit & Surf-Board all arranged for 25. Booking Essential & New Members Welcome to Sign up 086 828 0149 The Irish Cancer Society operates a free Volunteer Driver Service that is available to patients attending the following hospitals for chemotherapy treatments; Letterkenny General Hospital; Mayo General Hospital & Sligo Hospital. Volunteer drivers will pick a patient up at the door of their home, drop them at the hospital door and then when finished treatment, pick them up and drop them home again. All volunteer expenses are paid. Patients wishing to avail of this free service should contact their healthcare professional, visit the website at irishcancer.ie or contact the Irish Cancer Society for more information on 01 2310 522. The Irish Catholic The Irish Catholic has a full 5 page spread this week covering the ordination of Bishop Alan McGuckian as Bishop of Raphoe. I ordered 30 copies for parishioners, @ 1.80 each. Bus to Knock 9th September for Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal staying overnight for Grandparents day Sunday 10th September also on 16th September staying overnight for Padre Pio weekend. Huge Congratulations to Vinnie Gallagher and his beautiful bride Caitriona O’Donnell who pledged their love for eachother before God and their family and friends recently in St. Mary’s. Keeping You In Stitches - Keadue Banner Calling everyone who would like to play a part in designing and creating a long banner sign for The Keadue Band. Maureen O’Sullivan has agreed to lead a stitching project for the group over the autumn. To kick-start the project there will be a brainstorming session, (design/materials) on Monday 11 th Sept at 2 pm in The ROSSES CDP, Dungloe. The 6 week program for this project will run on Mondays at 2 starting 9 th Oct. Please come along & give your input. Owey Island There will be a meeting in St. Mary's hall Kincasslagh on Saturday the 19th of August at 3pm for property owners on Owey island, with a view to set up an island committee and to discuss any other issues. Rosses Water Safety Courses Irish Water Safety will run its 2 nd week of swim lessons and instruction in the Burtonport / Kincasslagh area week beginning 14th - 18th Aug 2017. Registration for various classes will take place on Monday 14th: Keadue blockyard beach - Swim lessons 12 - 2 Registration open from 11-11.45 Cruit Bridge - Safety and rescue training daily 2.30 Registration open from 2 Mass at the Mass rock, Kincasslagh This year on the feast of the Assumption, it is hoped, weather permitting to have our Mass at the Spink in Belcruit at 7.00 p.m. in memory of Dan and Annie McGarvey.
