A Teaser Trailer for an upcoming film, television program, video game or similar, is usually released long in advance of the product, so as to "tease" the audience. They are usually
50 seconds – 1 min and10 seconds long however this can vary.
What is the Purpose of a Teaser Trailer?
The purpose of a Teaser Trailer is to tease audiences to want to see the film, and therefore more people will attend
the cinema to see the film.
WHAT IS A TEASER TRAILER?
Kill Bill Volume 1 is a 2003 American martial arts action film written and directed by Quentin Tarantino. It is the first of two Kill Bill films produced at the same time, and was followed by Kill Bill Volume 2 (2004). It stars Uma
Thurman as the Bride, who seeks revenge on an assassination squad led by Bill (David Carradine) after they
try to kill her and her unborn child

The teaser trailer is introduced by the green background ‘the following preview is suitable for ALL audiences’.
The audience are also able to establish this is a Miramax production, and is the 4th Film by Quentin Taranto. The overall Teaser trailer is 1.49 minutes long. It establishes who the main character is; the actors name, and a small easy to follow main
story line. The Teaser trailer then shows a range of 3 second fast paced clips of the most exciting moments from the film. This is to draw the film in. These short exciting clips vary; from safari
sword fights, fast moving and skilled knife fights, car and motorbike clips. The teaser also shows the 7 main characters of
the film in a very dominant low POV shot. The director also represents the main character as an under dog type way, this
again can intrigue the audience to see the film on the big screen.

The song that is played through out the teaser trailer “Kill Bill Vol.1” is called “Battle Without Honour or
Humanity.”It is a very popular soundtrack and has been used in many
films for its ‘Epic feel’ or ‘heroic tune’.
EVERYTHING THE AUDIENCE HEAR (SOUND INCLUDING MUSIC)
The overall editing in this teaser trailer is very fast paced and shows very little but is
still able to show a short story line for audiences to follow/understand and the
audience are therefore able to get thrilled about the film. The teaser trailer also
shows a range of uniquely shots from the film, and from this the director is able to
excite audiences even more.
