Description
Description / responsibilities:Phase 3 of D.C. Tillman WWRP involved the modificationof 10existing Aeration Tanks (215' x45' x 20'). Each tank required demo of the existing aeration system and installation of the newaeration system.The aeration system consisted of 4" PVC pipes with varying number of diffuser heads. Thediffuser heads used were either ceramic discs or rubber membranes. I was solely responsiblefor the entire layout of the diffusers and the diffuser supports in the field and making sure thatthe operation was carried on as scheduled. Iwas also responsible for ordering and procuringthe right quantity of materials required ensuring scheduled progress of the project.
The pressurized air was fed to the new aeration system by varying sizes of stainless steel pipes.Iwas responsible for the layout of the stainless steel pipe, the core through the walls and thepipe supports. Iwas also responsible for ordering the precise quantity of pipe lengths and thequality checks when the pipes arrived on site.Apart from these responsibilities, Itracked and reported 1800 MH to my Superintendent andProject Manager. Ialso designed and created work plansfor the craft crew to ensure preciseand accurate flow of work. Ialso made regular, routine checks in the site and the areas wherethe craft men work to ensure strict conformance to safety procedures is followed andmaintained. Ihave also used Google Sketchup and Quickpen Pipe-Designer 3D to make surethat there are no interferences in the piping and that the progress of the project is asscheduled/planned. The mentioned softwares proved to be useful in making workplans for thecraftsmen as well.
