DESCRIPTION

RE: Myanmar Refugee Kids Care Learning School in Kota Damansara, Malaysia Introduction The 95,000 refugees and asylum-seekers registered with the UN refugee agency under United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Malaysia, some are school-age children but they have no access to formal education. To fill this gap, many refugee communities set up their own education centres in the cities and towns where most of them live. We wanted to start this Kids’ Care Learning School because our children could not attend the public schools. The children did not learn enough in Myanmar, so if they also have no education here, their lives in the future will be very hard. The Purpose of Our Proposal To children in the earliest years of their lives is of critical importance, both to their immediate well-being and to their future. Our purpose is that the children receive the best start in their earliest years of life, and they will be more likely to grow healthily, develop language and learning capacities, go to school and lead a productive, rewarding life. Our organization is dedicated to the process of making that happen but we need your help. Your assistance will bring us closer to our goal of RM 177,000 (USD 55,275) for 2013. The Myanmar community is clearly excited and eager to see this project succeed. You can be a part of that excitement by supporting our children with this donation. We are happy to acknowledge your donation at our numerous events, (unless you prefer otherwise). I would like to thank you for considering this opportunity to partner with our organization for raising funds. If you have any queries regarding our organization, our fund management policy, or the project itself, please feel free to contact me at [email protected] or Pr Paul Lai ([email protected]). ~May

DIRECTOR

Pastor Paul Lai

Pr. Paul Lai is the Senior Pastor of Miracle Signs & Wonders Fellowship in Kota Damansara, Selangor. He chairs the Church's Board of Administration which oversees the Mission Outreach to the Myanmar Christian Fellowship, Kids Care Learning Centre and other ministries to the underprivileged children in Yangon, Myanmar and Chiang Rai, Thailand.

Organisation Miracle Signs & Wonders Fellowship

was established in year 2005 to provide a place of worship to the Christian community.

Within Kota Damansara, there are many Christian refugees from Myanmar who are without a church, hence, we established a fellowship for them called, Myanmar Christian Fellowship in year 2008.

Having established the fellowship, we are burdened with the fact that their children are without education. We then establish KIDS Care Learning Centre in May 2011. This Centre is not exclusively for our children, it is open to all Myanmar children.
