Kidney cancer signs and symptoms can be pretty painful simply because this

disease begins from an irregular expansion that originates from within the kidney.

Located on either side of the abdomen, these reddish brown organs are barely

the size of a fist and are responsible for cleaning up the entire system. Kidney

failure usually means that the body has no way to do away with wastes or

eradicate any excess drinking water from the human body. The kidneys are also

responsible for aiding in the creation of red blood cells and managing blood

pressure. Kidney cancer stages are a recognized way of describing the level of

progress of a kidney cancer case. Once a stage has been detected, the doctor can

begin to evaluate the best means for kidney cancer treatment.

The kidney cancer treatment depends on the various stages of cancer. The

symptoms at the various stages are different too. In the first few stages, the

cancer is confined to the kidney area, with the tumour increasing in size at every

stage. At about the fourth stage of the disease the cancer starts to spread to

different parts of the body, like the liver, lungs, and bones. It is difficult to

diagnose this cancer in the early stages because of the lack of visible symptoms. It

is detected in advanced stage when symptoms become apparent, such as:

• Blood in urine giving urine abnormal pink or red color

• Persistent lower back pain

• Weight loss

• Lump in the abdomen

• Weakness

• Intermittent fever

Kidney cancers are more common in men than in women and the condition is

worse for people who are 40 and older. Individuals who smoke are at a higher risk

than non-smokers. Kidney cancer treatment can only begin after a proper

diagnosis of the condition. Doctors recommend MRI, CT scan, urine and blood

tests, an ultra sound, and a kidney biopsy when cancer symptoms occur in order

to identify the stage of the kidney cancer. Visit incontinencedr.com for more
