We hope to continue to virtually connect with you regularly and provide as many resources as you could possibly want and need. Remember we are just a message away and we can answer questions and keep you up to speed on all of the great opportunities that exist in Keller ISD and beyond. you should call 911 and tell a trusted adult. Call 911 If you or someone you know is in Crisis or Imminent Danger Social and Emotional Support Please remember, if you or someone you know is in crisis or imminent danger, you should call 911 and tell a trusted adult. Keller ISD and Keller High School also provide a service called Friends for Life, an online, anonymous reporting tool that can be helpful for seeking support for yourself or others that may be dealing with bullying, abuse, or suicidal thoughts. We are here to help you. In an effort to best support the social and emotional needs of our students and families, Keller ISD's Departments of Counseling, Intervention Counseling, and SEL (Social Emotional Learning) have created optional Guidance and SEL activities that are both grade-level appropriate and student-driven. In addition to these activities, we have included resources for both students and families. Parents can access the information using the links below. We are now working to build a schedule for the 2020-2021 school year based on your exact requests. Scheduling and Course Selection Update If you/your student have chosen a Dual Credit course for next year, please make sure to follow through with all the necessary steps to complete enrollment. The Dual Credit counselors have been communicating with many of you, so make sure you are responding to them and taking the necessary steps to complete enrollment. Dual Credit Enrollment For anyone working through Edgenuity to recover credit, now is the perfect time to get that knocked out. Keep working through to completion. The district is working out our plan for administering finals in these courses, so just get them done and we will work out that final step real soon. Credit Recovery Dual Credit Program College, Career, and Military Readiness Keller ISD's traditional transcript ordering system is still available. Marcia Sturz, Keller High School Registrar, can provide support to students and families in ordering a transcript. High School and Post- High School Planning Resources Review this detailed, sequential plan to stay on track for graduation and reaching post-secondary goals. It is never too early to start planning for post- high school. Plan a college visit. This checklist will help you think about how to explore the colleges of your choice. For now, virtual college visits are a great way to start. Virtual College Fair Speaking of virtual college visits, here is a GREAT opportunity for to start finding the college(s) of your choice. There will be not one, not two, but a HUGE number of colleges and universities gathering for a virtual college fair the week of April 20th. Check it out! Virtual College Fair Finally, This COVID19 situation has been a real challenge for all of us. We really like this visual to help see where we are in our thoughts and feelings. It is okay to sometimes be in the fear zone, but it is also important to grow your circle! Stretch into those areas and we hope this visual provides some guide to that process.
