January 6th - Day 2 Friday TAJ MAHAL We will drive to Agra on our air conditioned motor coach, have lunch and check into our hotel before our afternoon

visit to the Taj Mahal , one of the most romantic places in the world. The Taj Mahal represents paradise, reflecting

biblical, Mesopotamian and other ancient Near Eastern traditions. This is the paradise Mughal emperor Shah Jahan

(who reigned from 1628–1658), wanted the love of his life Mumtaz to dwell in for all eternity. It was constructed

using ancient Indian technologies, most of which have been lost today. The location chosen is an ancient sacred

power site. Many mysteries surround the building of this magnificent structure, including its true origins and solar

alignment.

January 7th - Day 3 Saturday National Museum After an early breakfast we will make our way to the National Museum in Delhi, one of the largest museums in India. Established in 1949, it holds variety of articles ranging from pre-historic era to modern works of art.

January 8th - Day 3 Sunday Flight to Patna and drive to Bodh Gaya

The flight takes us to Patna which is the modern name of Pataliputra, the capital of ancient India for over a thousand years. From here our air-conditioned coach will take us to Bodhgaya. It was here that Prince Gautama attained enlightenment, became Buddha, and formulated the Middle Path. The Mahabodhi Temple complex marks the site of this world-changing event. Next to the Mahabodhi Temple lies the Bodhi Tree, a descendent of the very tree under which the Buddha was enlightened, and the Jewel Walk, marking the place where the Buddha is said to have practiced walking meditation for seven days after his enlightenment.

After refreshing ourselves we will enjoy an evening with the Khemit Team and meet and hear a lecture by the

January 9th - Day 4 Monday Barabar Caves & Nagarjuni Caves

Subhashis Das, an authority and author on Megaliths in the Indian civilisation, will also accompany us today and will offer us his insights gained from over thirty years of dedicated study and research as we visit the extraordinary Barabar Caves. The Barabar Caves are the oldest surviving rock-cut caves in India. As some of the caves have inscriptions attributed

to the Buddhist emperor Ashoka and his grandson we are told that they date to the 3rd century BCE. The mirror

polish finish of the interior granite surfaces and unique acoustic effects heighten the mystery of their true origin

and purpose! We will discuss this as well as any comparisons to other sites we have explored worldwide.

January 10th - Day 5 Tuesday Nalanda & Rajgir (Indian Pyramid)

After an early breakfast we take our a/c coach towards Rajgir and Nalanda accompanied by expert, Subhashis Das.

For over a thousand years Nalanda was the site of a grand university. Dedicated to the transfer of knowledge it had

no equal. 10,000 students and 2,000 teachers dedicated themselves to Vedic and Buddhist studies. There are

temples, meditation halls, living quarters for students and teachers, ponds and parks, along with an unequalled

library. Also the site of pyramidal structures and other sacred architecture, this seat of ancient knowledge is a

treasure trove waiting to be decoded.

Rajgir played a significant role in several episodes of the Mahabharata and was the capital of the kingdom of

Magadha till the 5 century BCE. Its sacred landscape offers temples, caves and hot springs.

January 12th - Day 7 Thursday Lectures/Seminar/Conference

This day is dedicated to a relaxed and informal sharing of knowledge and discussion of what we have so far seen and

experienced. The Khemit team will provide lectures in the morning hours. After lunch there is time for rest or

informal exploration of the city. In the evening Guest Speakers of INTACH (Indian National Trust for Art and

Cultural Heritage) will join us and share with us their expertise on local archaeology and history.

January 13th - Day 8 Friday The Mystical Lonar Crater

Today we take our a/c coach to explore Lonar Lake, one of the most fascinating but little known ancient sites of India.

Fifty thousand years ago a meteor struck the earth here creating a crater and eventually a lake with unusual

properties. It is considered a place of great power and sacredness. The lake is surrounded by a total of 32 temples,

each dignified with its own mythology and architectural character.

Small sweet water streams feed the lake which lies in a basalt impact structure and is uniquely both saline and

alkaline. Unusual magnetic effects are known to exist and are alluded to in the mythology.

The very sacred Gomukh Temple is cited as the place where the god Vishnu defeated the demon Lonasura in

mythology. In response to the pleas of the terrified people, Lord Vishnu pushed Lonasura back, deep into the

Underworld with tremendous force, leaving the crater and the lake. The water of the lake is said to be mixed with his

blood, and the salts occurring in it are the remains of his flesh.

We will experience the lake and its surroundings and visit some of the temples and bathing places. Overnight 4 or 5

January 14th - Day 9 Saturday Ajanta Caves

In 1819 an English officer hunting tiger stumbled upon this site of ancient wonder. We are told that it was 2,000 years

ago that 30 Buddhist shrines, meditation halls and monasteries were cut from the living Basalt rock of a ravine which

forms the rock wall of a river valley.

The Ajanta Caves face the South, however, due to its horse-shoe shape, however the individual caves each face

different directions, possibly aligning with stellar and solar events. A treasure trove of architecture which reflects

the Vedic cosmology, mathematics, painting and sculpture, all ancient spiritual sciences were put to the

development of this very sacred site. We will examine the structure and discuss the historical dating of the site. Did

this system of caves originally have a different purpose and are they more ancient then currently thought?

We will explore the caves where generations of monks meditated, as well as experience the acoustic qualities, the

energies emanating from the rocks, and the many stories and mythologies depicted on the basalt walls.

January 15th - Day 10 Sunday Ellora Caves and the amazing Kailash Temple

Today we will travel the short distance from Aurangabad to Ellora where an assemblage of shrines were excavated

from a basalt rock wall. Official history dates it to the 6th to 9th century. Here we find 17 Hindu, 12 Buddhist and 5 Jain

monuments.

Especially significant is the excavated Hindu temple called the Kailash Temple. It was carved out of a huge basalt cliff

from the top down. Its architecture and sculpture reflect temple building traditions mostly connected those of

Southern India. At the same time it is unique in its scope, layout and art. The mythological images depicted on the

walls speak to cosmological processes and events - and the nature of our reality.

There are underground passages and water channels disappearing into the rock and many speak of ancient shafts

that lead to underground chambers. Is this a pre-catastrophe sacred site which was reconstructed into the form of

a Hindu temple by medieval Indian dynasties?

We will experience acoustic effects, see amazing stone work and feel the presence of ancient cosmic energies,

spending the entire day at this breath-taking site, enabling us to explore all of its wonders.

January 17th - Day 12 Tuesday Elephanta Caves

Elephanta Island is the site of five Hindu and two Buddhist rock-cut structures. Of the many cave temples here, the

Trimurti Cave is one of the grandest and represents the essence and pinnacle of the sacred art and spiritual vision of

Hinduism. Local tradition holds that the caves are not man-made. Some credit the heroes of the Mahabharata, others

the demon Banasura. Archaeology offers a between the late 5th to late 8th century AD.

We will stand face to face with the timeless mystery of Shiva, the Great Yogi, in the Trimurti Cave and reflect on the

many mythological themes which represent cosmological and alchemical events and processes.

Brien Foerster Speaker, Author, Researcher, Explorer

Brien was born in Rochester, Minnesota, U.S.A. but grew up on the west coast of Canada. At age 11, he became fascinated with the Native art of the Haida native people, and began carving totem poles, and other related art forms, learning from Native teachers. After completing an Honors Bachelor Of Science degree, Brien decided to take up carving and sculpture full time, at the age of 25. After spending 2 years working as a Project Manager on an ancient sail boat project, in Maui, Hawaii, his interest turned toward Peru.

The study of the Inca culture led to his writing his first book, A Brief History Of The Incas. Brien is also actively engaged with native Shipibo people from the Central Amazon of Peru, promoting the sale of their traditional arts and crafts. He written a total of 9 books, including: Machu Picchu – Virtual Guide & Secrets Revealed, Inca Footprints, Inca: Before The Conquest, and Enigma Of Tiwanaku And Puma Punku. He also writes articles for Graham Hancock: www.grahamhancock.com, and is associated with Lloyd Pye of the Starchild project, who is analyzing the DNA of elongated human skulls of the Peruvian Paracas culture on his behalf. Suzan Moore Geologist

Born and raised on the prairies of Saskatchewan Canada, Suzan developed a keen interest in nature, rocks and stars at an early age. That passion later led her to pursue a Geology degree with a minor in Astronomy. Suzan has been working as a Geologist in Canada for over 40 years. She originally worked in both mining and regional mapping of granites and metamorphic rocks in northern Saskatchewan and the North West Territories. She has been working for many years as a Sedimentological Specialist in the Oil and Gas industry in Calgary Alberta, specializing in the Jurassic of North-Western America.

She has always had an interest in Ancient Egypt and, since her first visit, returns regularly. After a trip to Peru in 2013 she developed a passion for understanding megalithic structures and the rocks they are carved from which led her to explore their implications in Egypt as well. She is currently trying to incorporate how weathering, time and source of the rocks affect the construction and preservation of many of the megalithic structures. Suzan offers a unique and fresh perspective on the description, consistency and use of the various types of rocks and materials used in the ancient structures here.

Mohamed Ibrahim, inspired by an equally passionate desire to share his wisdom, offers a wide spectrum of knowledge regarding the history, arts, literature, and culture of the ancient Egyptians. Mohamed Ibrahim was born in Memphis, Egypt and studied (Ancient Egyptian, Coptic, Islamic) Art and history at Helwan University in Cairo. He has been working as a tour guide and a teacher of Hieroglyphics since 2000.

Mohamed’s comprehensive knowledge of Ancient Egypt, along with his background in comparative religions and spiritual studies has enabled him to fill lecture halls and conduct a variety of successful tours over the years.

Subhashis Das Speaker, Author, Researcher, Explorer Subhashis Das was born on 16 July 1956 in the State of Assam, North East India. Although Subhashis main interests and studies were of general history, ancient races and civilisations, Indian tribes and their ancient myths, he was not particularly interested in megaliths until a sudden discovery of a dolmen near his hometown. He left his job to become a full-time ‘Megalith Explorer’. His first book, Sacred Stones in Indian Civilization was published in 2009 and is the first book detailing megaliths in his home state of Jharkhand, and one of the first of its kind published in India. His next book, The Unknown Prehistory of Primitive India, is slated to be released in July or August 2013 and will include a few complimentary pages by Dr Terence Meaden. Subhashis Das’ website, Megaliths of India is the only one of its kind in the country and was created in August 2010. Other interests include music, spiritualism, photography, writing poems and sketching.

Subhashis Das has discovered countless primitive megaliths across India, many of which are his own study sites. 16 years ago he found that not all megaliths were used for sepulchral purposes but that many were created for astronomical observations, and even to function as calendars. About the same time he discovered the astronomical significance of the megaliths of Punkri Burwadih, and also that the monument was used to observe the equinoxes and the summer solstice sunrises. He revived the ancient tradition of equinox viewing at this megalithic complex. Hundreds of people from all over the country gather to view the equinox sunrises at Punkri Burwadih twice every year, thus making Punkri Burwadih the only megalithic site in India used today for this phenomenon. connections; injury, loss, or damage to persons or property; additional expenses resulting from changes in exchange

rates, tariffs or itinerary; any transportation issues or problems with vehicles utilized on the tour; additional expenses

incurred due to illness, weather conditions, protests, war, terrorism, quarantine or other causes; and losses due to

cancellations not subject to our Terms and Conditions.
